Rangis - Chinese Restaurant (Since 1985) — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I hate to give 3star but had to. The food taste still remains good. Though food used to be the best there, now it's good.there is a subtle difference in food taste. Coming to worse part is the person who sits in the counter. I think he had a gud jump from a local "fast food" to Rangis. I don't blame tat , everyone needs growth. But this guys attitude tarnishes the image of Rangis. Located in a prime spot with decent crowd dinning this guy creates a very bad feel. I recently visited Rangis and a person from kitchen comes to take oil pack and he informed this counter guy. End of story. Counter guy starts shouting "what is t cook doing with oil, for one egg rice and chicken rice he is using one packet? Ask him to use less! Don't ge know to cook? U guys don no to use oil bla bla. OK! REASONABLE POINTS HE MADE BUT, not from the counter shouting till the kitchen. BOSS we are dinning there and we are not there to hear you YELL, HAVE SOME DECENCY. My husband has always been wanting to go to this place since the time he started studying CA. This place is very near to our institute, so since our friends wanted to go for chinese my husband suggested this place and so we did try it. Went there for lunch yesterday, ordered a sour and pepper soup and a veg dragon soup. Both the soups tasted fine but could have been better. It was too thick and lacked the soup consistency and the feel. For the starters, we ordered a veg spring roll and a deep fried cottage cheese. Both of them tasted very good, with rhe right amount of filling and crispness the spring roll had and the paneer was really soft and tender with a nice crunch on the outside. For the mains, we had a chilli garlic fried rice, veg chinese chopsuey, veg hakka noodles and vegetables in a sauce. The mains and the accompaniments tasted sumptuous, packed with so much flavour and the right amount of spice. Nothing was too spicy. I must say the service and staff was commendable. Amazing Chinese food and great service

I recently visited this restaurant and had a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant had a simple ambiance and great service.

I ordered a variety of dishes including fried rice, noodles, beef, Pork and chicken and everything was prepared to perfection. The food was flavorful, and the portions were generous. It was evident that the ingredients used were of high quality.

The staff was very courteous and accommodating, always willing to make recommendations and ensure that I was satisfied with my meal. Their service was prompt and attentive, which added to the overall experience.

The prices were also reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Chinese cuisine in Nungambakkam area.
