Valsi Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

The worst place to have food here. There is no cooking master available. Rice used for chicken briyani is not good. Looks like ration shop rice is used. And it also tastes like tomato rice. In fact we have reserved for 2 hours before itself and some dishes were pre ordered. But nothing is ready. After we entered the shop, they started loading the chicken in the grill. We went there to have our office get together in our lunch time. It took almost 2 and half hours to finish our lunch. And the quality of the food is also very bad. Nothing is readily available to eat. So we finally ordered parotta. That also is not served in a specified time. And we came to know that, now only there are preparing the doe for making parotta. And we cancelled that also, since we are running out of time. They replied that the master is on leave today, so requested us to bear for the delay. This hotel doesn't have the capability to handle more than 5 people at the moment. Worst experience...

I came to know about this restaurant from Vadasatti YT channel. I came today to have Sunday lunch with my family. Restaurant size is little about 20 to 25 can sit at a time. But, the service, taste and menu items are premium (like Thalapakatti, Haribhavanam, Angannan, Jr. Kuppanna).

We ordered C.Biryani, NaatuKozhi Nei perattal, Mutton Sukka, mutton kola urundai, Parotta and kuruma.

All items really tasted soft, less spicy and more juicy. Mutton Sukka is especially a very soft even 3 Years old child can eat. Biryani is good like Angannan, no red chilli powder and no green chilli, just dry spices, garlic and ginger. Kola urundai is very small and I felt like having crispy Vada (no feel/taste of mutton). But my daughter liked it.

Few things to improve: No parking space for bike/car, only 2 waiters are there (since small size, but during house full it is little difficult for them to serve all 8 tables).

Overall I would rate 4.5, but only 4 I could give...

My major gripe is with the offers and promotions. While they sound attractive at first, they come with multiple conditions and twists and not even informing the conditions that make them less valuable than they seem. I wish the restaurant would provide clearer details about their offers or simply offer straightforward discounts.
