If you're in the mood for authentic Kerala-style cuisine, this place is a must-visit. While the ambiance is simple and unpretentious, the focus here is clearly on delivering an exceptional food experience. From the moment you sit down, you know you're in for something special.

The menu is a celebration of Kerala’s rich culinary traditions, offering a variety of flavorful dishes that highlight the region’s distinct use of spices, fresh seafood, and coconut-based ingredients. The meals are packed with bold, aromatic flavors, and every dish feels like it’s made with care and attention to detail. Whether it's the perfectly spiced Kerala sadya, tender fish curry, or crispy appams paired with rich stew, each bite transports you to the coastal heart of India.

The portions are generous, and the food is served fresh, with a home-cooked quality that makes it feel like you’re enjoying a meal at a local Kerala household. The variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options means there’s something for everyone, and each dish is prepared with the kind of authenticity you rarely find outside of Kerala.

While the setting is no-frills—more focused on function than flair—it doesn’t take away from the experience. The service is friendly and efficient, and despite the no-nonsense atmosphere, you can feel the passion for food in every dish that’s served.

If you’re more interested in a flavorful, no-fuss meal than a trendy cafe atmosphere, this Kerala-style eatery is a gem. Perfect for anyone who appreciates bold, comforting food that’s true...

Last year once went to the Kuttanadu Restaurant. The ambience of the hotel was okay. It was a kerala based restaurant. So they had all special dishes of Kerala like Appam, kondakkadalai , Puttu etcetera. We bought paratha, mutton gravy, mutton gravy which were prepared with the authentic cooking style of Kerala . The food menu consists of mutton, chicken, fish, beef , squid and other sea food items . All the foods were madeby using the coconut oil which replicated the traditional taste of Kerala. The taste of all food items was amazing. Especially i liked biriyani .We went during one of the weekdays. So I didn't find much crowd and congestion. We went around 8.30 pm and left from there around 10.15 pm. The cost of all food items were affordable. All the staff were gentle and kindly served with dignity. The cleanliness of the restaurant was really good. Their warm welcome was good. They provide both vegetarian foods and non vegetarian food were available. As we din't try vegetarian food, i couldn't give comments. But the the non vegetarian items that we bought mutton gravy , paratha was worthwhile for money and taste. The car parking was not spacious. We cannot park more cars . The spaces were available for few cars . The Biriyani was little bit spicy but the taste was good . Totally we had good experience in Kuttanadu...

Found a cockroach in pulishery (moru curry) few weeks back, i didn't escalate it, just told the guy at the billing counter , they changed my meals and requested me not to tell any one. Visited again today, thinking it was a one off event, we left before we ate, so don't know.

The reasons for leaving:

Sweats like hell in the seating area and today there was no electricity, there were no fans either. All waiters walk past without bothering to take order, even after calling they didn't bother. Later, ordered meals, but no food even after 20 mins. Kerala meals are already cooked and kept, they are not freshly made as per order. The main guy at the billing counter who also takes orders look like he is always pissed off and will break your head open if we question anything, so we didn't. Just walked out silently. The waiters look pissed off too, it is intimidating to approach them. The kitchen looks dirty.

Also, in general, The food is not worth it and does not taste like what we get in kerala, achayathis taste better. Even usthad hotel tastes better.

Never again taking the pain to visit this shity service just for cockroaches. I can get that at the street vendor next to my house. I gues it would hard...

I think this restaurant was a living place before, cause the building is like it's a home and it was altered to get this restaurant. Parking is so narrowed,. As far the food concerned, mutton briyani was blant, so mild taste.. chicken briyani little better than mutton but it was also not great. Heard about this restaurant from my frnds but experience I got was like tasting a raw lemon. Kerala style was there but not exactly Kerala taste., Even Thalashery thattu kada would be better in taste. Beef fry is not that great.. was hard. In mutton briyani only there was bone and little piece around it was hard and there was not even masala taste!. If you want fish, I suggest you to go bit further near the church , they will be fresh fish will be fried. That's good. Anyway don't go for briyani here, I didn't try appam..,may it could have been better and less price too 😜😩😭,. And go for curry beef not beef fry(varatiyadhu). And ambience not that great I'd say, AC ventilation also good, I was using fan additionally. Have a great dinner..😎🤟🏾.
