Read moreLast year once went to the Kuttanadu Restaurant. The ambience of the hotel was okay. It was a kerala based restaurant. So they had all special dishes of Kerala like Appam, kondakkadalai , Puttu etcetera. We bought paratha, mutton gravy, mutton gravy which were prepared with the authentic cooking style of Kerala . The food menu consists of mutton, chicken, fish, beef , squid and other sea food items . All the foods were madeby using the coconut oil which replicated the traditional taste of Kerala. The taste of all food items was amazing. Especially i liked biriyani .We went during one of the weekdays. So I didn't find much crowd and congestion. We went around 8.30 pm and left from there around 10.15 pm. The cost of all food items were affordable. All the staff were gentle and kindly served with dignity. The cleanliness of the restaurant was really good. Their warm welcome was good. They provide both vegetarian foods and non vegetarian food were available. As we din't try vegetarian food, i couldn't give comments. But the the non vegetarian items that we bought mutton gravy , paratha was worthwhile for money and taste. The car parking was not spacious. We cannot park more cars . The spaces were available for few cars . The Biriyani was little bit spicy but the taste was good . Totally we had good experience in Kuttanadu...
Read moreFound a cockroach in pulishery (moru curry) few weeks back, i didn't escalate it, just told the guy at the billing counter , they changed my meals and requested me not to tell any one. Visited again today, thinking it was a one off event, we left before we ate, so don't know.
The reasons for leaving:
Sweats like hell in the seating area and today there was no electricity, there were no fans either. All waiters walk past without bothering to take order, even after calling they didn't bother. Later, ordered meals, but no food even after 20 mins. Kerala meals are already cooked and kept, they are not freshly made as per order. The main guy at the billing counter who also takes orders look like he is always pissed off and will break your head open if we question anything, so we didn't. Just walked out silently. The waiters look pissed off too, it is intimidating to approach them. The kitchen looks dirty.
Also, in general, The food is not worth it and does not taste like what we get in kerala, achayathis taste better. Even usthad hotel tastes better.
Never again taking the pain to visit this shity service just for cockroaches. I can get that at the street vendor next to my house. I gues it would hard...
