Hi All, This place just runs on hype I guess or maybe years back the food was good now they are just selling because of the brand. I don't really understand how people eat here and come back time and again maybe they think this is the best. The tables are usually full when I pass by the restaurant. Today we decided to check it out. Seeing an empty table, but people do keep coming here. The food : Very average tasting food that you are better off going somewhere else. Chicken momos, the stuffing was fresh but the shell was over cooked so it was rubbery. 2.Chicken chow mein: worst ever form of noodles served full of unnecessary oil with no flavour of any sort. The chicken bits are just thrown on top, that too are dry and old. The oil just coats your hand when you try to serve/eat it. 3.prawn fried momos: this is just cheap puff pastry sheet with some sort of sea food smelling substance fried and served drenched in oil 4.lemonade : probably some leftover lemons they use or squeeze them and store in fridge. It tasted very weird. We just couldn't drink it. Though we tried to it was just too bad. So I honestly don't recommend you going there and wasting your money. Have a nice day Yours...
Read moreThe best momo's in the world I would say (for my wife and my pallet) . I was a regular visitor of Kailash kitchen since 2015. The only turn off was the parking situation in Choolaimedu. So I generally used to resort to erstwhile Genieing it to Mylapore. Or I used to pick up the food whenever I passes by. But the stench it gives to the car, oh my god! Horrible. I don't know how something so tasty can leave such a lingering smell in your car. So getting back to the review, the day I leant that they are opening a franchise in Besant Nagar, I was so excited, I drove from my in laws house in ekkatuthangal just for the taste of momo, but then I learnt I visited a week to early as the shop wasn't even open yet.
So yeah, thr brief summary of my confusing review is, these momo's are the best. I have had momo's in Nepal, but nothing compares to these. The sauce is amazing. One problem is the seating is not good, they have 6 humongous 6 seaters, that's all. So if you are party if 2, you need to wait to be seated or follow the Indian way of sharing seats. They could have broken down the seating to smaller pairs. But you forget all this after you have the momo's. I am a big fan of their Chowmein...
