Arma Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Bali

The restaurant offered outdoor and indoor seating with interiors featuring familiar Thai decorations. The ambiance was upmarket with white table linen, spacious seating and service was friendly and attentive. Prices were also cheap compared to similar standard of restaurants in Bali.

The colors, smells and taste of the dishes brought me back to the eateries in Bangkok. I was surprised to learn that the dishes were cooked by locals and not Thais.

I enjoyed the grilled pork and tangy sauce. The deep-fried chicken wrapped in leaves was succulent, and the fried fish was crispy with moist flesh. The steamed custard mixture of Thai herbs wrapped in banana leaves was soft, fragrant and generous with seafood. The crunchy papaya salad with vinaigrette notes was a great way to start the meal. We stayed in the hotel and were daily for breakfast there as well as few time for dinner. Breakfast selection was quite good and we could find everything we want from fresh fruits, local dishes or egg specialities. Also setting by the river is very nice and quite.

For dinner we had some thai food and thai green curry were just great. Also setting with many lights outside is very nice.

They offer also cooking classes and we did one with Ketut and that was highlight of our stay. It was not only culinary journey into many balinese ingridients, but also a lot of activities to actively cook/cut/chop/etc. We even were quite tired at the end, but the food was the reward. We are really looking forward to come back and try to cook different...

During our honeymoon, we were taken by the travel agency to this restaurant, the setup and the place is truly something!

We were not able to chose food from the menú, so I'll comment on what we had, the Indonesian experience menú...the starting soup was delicious. However, the rest of the menu, Tuna steak, rice, etc. Were not the best, steak was flavorless, and the rest of the food lacked the seasoning and magic. Drink, I ordered a Mai Tai, not well done honestly.... unfortunately and based on my experience, this was not the best...
