We had high expectations of this place and have been wanting to try it since a few months ago but only got time to do so recently.
We had the hanging and rose beef and pork, we feel underwhelmed as the meat was not much better than shaburi.
The meatballs, tofu, tofu skin, fish paste were all incredible and much much better than the meat.
Soup wise, we had the mala soup, chicken herbal, and pork bone broth. The mala soup was utterly dissapointing as well as the chicken herbal. The pork bone both were good but too expensive (3 for 500k)
Assorted veggies were fresh and served with mushrooms as well but in my opinion too expensive too at 150k something.
Condiments are an extra 8k per person which is dissapointing as they don't tell us that we have to pay extra for sauces such as garlic, peanut sauce, soy sauce etc; for these kinds of prices we don't expect to pay more for condiments and were surprised to see it charged on our bill.
Interior : 8/10 Food : 7/10 Service : 8/10 Price : 4/10 (too expensive and penny pinching, don't forget the 21% extra for tax and services). 5 of us 2.4 mil
Were we satisfied? Yes
Will we come back again? I don't think so. Too expensive for what you get.

Read moreMy children brought me here for a birthday dinner, and while the food and ambience were indeed enjoyable, the service fell short—especially considering the premium prices.
The issues began when my son asked which one they had—Diet Coke or Coke Zero—but the waiter seemed clueless and unwilling to check. Later, when a waitress came to refill my hot pot soup, she poured in a different soup instead of mine (collagen), and when I pointed it out, instead of correcting the mistake properly, she just added the collagen soup on top—leaving me with a strange mix of flavors. It was disappointing, to say the least.
On top of that, no staff offered to refill our tea, even when our cups were clearly empty. The restaurant was quiet at the time, and several staff members were just standing around chatting, yet none were attentive to guests. The teapot was even placed on a separate table, and my daughter had to get up and fetch it herself to refill our cups. This kind of basic service is expected even at the most modest Chinese restaurants, and noticeably missing here.
We had hoped for a special, smooth experience, but instead left feeling let down—especially since it was meant to be a...
Read more2 Mar 2020: One of the better steam boat place to go for in Jakarta. Have had been to #Eight Treasure several times, at different of their outlets, both at Plaza Indonesia and Pacific Place. The quality of food is quite consistent. The price is a bit premium, but you get the quality food. I find the meat they serve is fresh. The menu has a varieties of fresh meat and vegetable, mushroom and cooked finger food such as fried fish skin. Just to name a few of the fresh meat: slice Iberico pork, fish paste, chicken and beef. You can choose the base soup from the menu which it serve separately in a individual pot, which i find it hygienic as compared to the big pot serving to share among everyone.
Each table is served with a variety of condiments where you can make your own dip sauce. The condiments includes chopped garlic, chopped spring onions, chopped red chili, and soy sauce. There’s also a chili sauce provided if you wish to have just that.
The ambiance is conducive, decorated with oriental style interior. Cleanliness: 7/10. Personnel...
