McDonald's Plaza Festival — Restaurant in Jakarta

One of the big mc donald's store in Jakarta that place inside Plaza Festival area. This store can be seen easily from the street, and also near the transjakarta busway station. Near this Mc Donald's, there are so many restaurants and cafes but this Mc Donald's is one of the restaurant that open 24 hours. They serve not only foods and beverages, but also coffee and some pastry. Their burger taste good and quite big for the portion especially the italian one. They have a lot of tables and chairs but still hard to find a seat sometimes because most of their customer come in a group and book so many seats. Their other food menu also taste good and their service's very fast. They have two kind of room, inside and outside. You can use the outside area for smoking but the seats there very limited and really hot at noon. Their Mc Cafe serves tea, coffee, chocolate, and other sweet beverages in case you do not want to eat something savory. Because of this place always packed and crowded, will be better if you prepare some cash instead of card, because last time the machine can not work well. Since I live in the state, I have never tried McDonald's in Indonesia.

This place was close to the hotel so I walked and had lunch here. I notice they have spicy fried chicken here which apparently is quite popular amongst the locals.

I ordered the beef prosperity burger which is not available in the states. The fries with skin and the pineapple drink. both of these are not available in America. Of course I had to order a couple pieces of fried chicken as well just to compare to the local KFC.

The fries were not better than the McDonald's original but it was okay. The burger was nice and tasty but had a bit too much black pepper taste. The chicken though it tastes the same as the KFC spicy chicken. The breading was heavier and was not as light. I prefer the Indonesian KFC version.

Overall the service was good. The place was nice and clean. They had an automatic ordering kiosk with English language. The girl showed me how to change it and walk me right through how to order. She was super friendly and spoke English nicely.

Credit card payment was right at the kiosk as well. I took my tag to my table and they delivered it...

Did they know, McDonald's is the biggest toy seller in the world (thanks to their happy meal)? And the price of their happy meal already increase more than 100% in this 10 year (other food was less than that). But WHY THEIR CASHIER DID NOT ALLOW CUSTOMER TO CHOOSE THEIR HAPPY MEAL? How come they said it is random toys (like gacha) meanwhile in the box clearly show what is inside. How come they blame their stupidity to the customer by blaming, i cannot change since I already open the box nicely (did they think I tear off the box???) If YOU WANT TO SELL HAPPY MEAL, THEN PLEASE AT LEAST GIVE EDUCATION TO YOUR CASHIER...
