The Bridge by GDK — Restaurant in Jakarta

My review on the bridge may be a little bit different than the previous ones. I would say the food quality is okay but not as highly rated as other reviewers may have stated. I would personally think the food ratings (especially for the main course and nibbles) would be not more than 4 stars.

We ordered Nasi Porang Fried Rice with Lapchiong, crispy pork and crab meats (the smell of the pork was too strong) 3.9/5.0 stars Wagyu Sando (the wagyu meat has odd smell/ after taste. The meat may have been frozen for fairly long time) 3.8/5.0 stars Angel Hair Pasta with Spicy Basil, Hokkaido Scallops & Mussels 4.3/5.0 stars GDK smashed burgers 4.0/5.0 stars

The deserts (Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie with Vanilla and sticky dates pudding with toffee and vanilla ice cream) are actually great 4.5/5.0 stars. The long black is not that great (served without crema on top and lack of aroma).

For lunch, those selections were summed to IDR500k costs per person which is fairly pricey given the quality of the food (the menu is attached).

This was my first visit to The Bridge, nestled in the bustling Sequis Tower in Sudirman. Right from the outset, I was impressed by its comfortable atmosphere, perfectly suited for the lunchtime office crowd.

Reflecting on the premium pricing – our meal for two totaled IDR 2.5 million – it’s clear that The Bridge targets a specific clientele. However, I found that the quality of the food justified the expense.

We ordered the Caesar Salad, Katsu Sando, and a 400-gram Wagyu Ribeye. Each dish was a delight, striking the right balance of flavor and presentation. The Caesar Salad was crisp and fresh, the Katsu Sando was an exquisite fusion of flavors, and the Wagyu Ribeye was cooked to perfection, highlighting the premium quality of the meat.

In conclusion, while The Bridge might lean towards the higher end of the price spectrum, the exceptional quality of the food, coupled with the serene and welcoming ambience, makes it a worthwhile dining experience for those special occasions or...

It was a fun social hangout. We had tons of food, so I didn't get a chance to take a picture of ALL the food we had.

We started with some fries, sweet potato fries, and some katsu sando. Some of the highlights of the main dishes we had were the prawn garlic noodles, the monte cristo, along with the steaks and fish. We also ordered some of the lobster noodles, but it was a little too expensive for my liking haha. It did not scream "worth it" for me, but probably good to try once.

We also had some waffles for dessert and it was amazing! The waffles took a while to make but it was well worth it. The Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie was a delight as well.

Overall, it's an amazing treat to have for dinner or lunch. Definitely not something you can have too frequently because of the price point.
