We were really looking forward to trying but unfortunately it missed the mark in every way. My husband ordered the chicken tikka masala—chicken was overcooked, the sauce was aggressively salty, and the rice (which cost extra) was dry and tasted like it had been sitting around way too long. I had the prawn curry, which came with tiny shrimp ( not prawn) and was also overwhelmingly salty with zero depth of flavor. It had strange seeds that left an unpleasant aftertaste.
The only halfway decent part of the meal was the naan (called something else on the menu), but that alone doesn’t make up for the rest.
Service was cold and unfriendly—borderline rude. One table had to wave down the waitress multiple times before getting any help, and we had the same experience. On top of that, our table was sticky and didn’t feel clean.
Portions were small, which might’ve been a blessing considering the quality. We both genuinely love Indian food, but this felt like a bad imitation. Due to the heavy amount of salt we both went home and chugged down water and agreed it was a waste. No idea how this place got so many good reviews—our experience was the complete opposite....
Read moreMy two year old and I stumbled on this gem of a place by accident, we were going to the place next door that was packed and didn’t have space for us, and I had a Hangry Indian toddler in hand. I saw the sign and knew I can’t go wrong. By the way I have a very huge critique of a eater, this two year old. He knows and loves his Indian food. We ordered the thali set with 4 dishes and chapati I had it with Masala Tea. Oh my the Thali was amazing, loved the flavours, my biggest critique ate everything up and even yelled for more chapati, the restaurant owner noticed that and called for an immediate chapati and hooray hangry toddler was a happy child at the end. I loved the food and the masala tea hit all the right spots! I also then ordered their chocolate vegan mouse I think that’s what it was called and it was really yummy too! Sorry pictures of eaten thali because that was just how good it was! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Love the vibe, the service and the...
Read moreKrishna's kitchen has a lovely homely and happy vibe. We went there for an early dinner but by the time we were done, all the tables were full - although we came here for the first time, you could tell that a lot of people eat here regularly, which goes to say that the food and experience calls for more visits. We ordered the thali and also goan style chicken curry (tamarind and coconut based curry). The vegetables served with the thali were very tasty, especially the Rajma. The chicken curry was full of flavour and hot - which is great if you really like spicy Indian food and just want we were looking for. The host was very polite and the entire staff was extremely courteous. Id highly recommend trying Krishna's Kitchen if you'd like to try Indian food...
