Bene Italian Kitchen — Restaurant in Kuta

I had the best time and experience here for my birthday. I started off with drinks on the rooftop (it was quiet and we had the whole floor to ourselves). We were looked after by Julia and Adi. They both provided fantastic customer service, ensured the drinks were flowing, nibbles were available, shared information about Balinese culture, and just provided exceptional service. All the staff at Bene Italian Kitchen were exceptional and made me feel like a Queen on the day. After the rooftop drinks and watching a beautiful sunset, we enjoyed the Italian buffet meal (on a Wednesday night). There weren't many options available as you might expect at a buffet, but the options that were available were tasty. It would have been even better if there were more protein-concentrated options available, as the majority of the options were heavy on the carbs. Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner (pizza, breads, pasta - made to order, salad bar, creamy chicken, creamy broccoli). Im writing this review as a suggestion since i don’t think the staff quite understood me. On the menu it says spaghetti al nero, i am expecting spaghetti. But clearly this is not. I ask why this its stated as spaghetti if its not, and they had 3 different waitresses come and try to explain me the same thing saying that its homemade squid ink pasta, which i can see, and i understand. My problem was that it is not written correctly on the menu. What i am asking is for the staff to acknowledge their mistake, and for the restaurant to name the dish correctly, perhaps “homemade tagliolini al nero”, so i know what to expect. The chef did come personally to apologize and he understood what i meant with this not being spaghetti. He also offered to make a new dish specially for me but i refused because i was in a rush and had to leave in 15 minutes. Overall, its okay, and still i will give 5 stars for the service. I ate the pasta anyway and it was yummy. Just name it correctly and make sure your staff know the difference between different pasta types when working at an Italian...

We had bintang beers and some snacks while waiting for the sunset yesterday.

The beer was good as it was served cold as it should be and the glasses were chilled as well.

The view from the upper floor was really nice. You can see far out from there and also have a clear view of the sunset. You can also see the hotel compound clearly from there.

Service was good. The waiters were really friendly and attentive. They also offer us help to take our photos with the sunset haha
