The hibachi combos are really pricey. We ordered the steak and prawn, chicken and tuna combos. 350k and 250k respectively. It's ok if the food is of good quality and standard. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great and the service staff was generally attentive and apologetic. However the main issue I had was with the sirloin steak. I ordered medium rare and as you can see in the picture, the beef was overcooked, chewy and rubbery. They offered to redo one for me and the replacement came medium rare but the biggest problem was it was cold and icy in the medium (yes they did not cut up the replacement steak). I return the dish again and they came back with the steak cut up and cooked but it was still a bit chewy and tough not what was expected of a teppanyaki beef dish which was supposed to be tender and juicy. It was really disappointing . There was no service recovery, no compensation nor any means to make the service better. Staff just kept apologising. I decided not to make a fuss or rerun the dish anymore. I won't come back anymore if I have a choice. The rest of the tuna, chicken and prawn was okay. Not...
Read moreI drove in the traffic just to go here to experience Teppanyaki/Hibachi dining and when I arrived I couldn't sit at the hibachi chef's station (the seating area where guests sit in front of the chef to watch him cook our food) because a couple of entitled white tourists had booked that whole section just for themselves, even if there were at least 4 empty chairs and spots for others to sit at. And this section wasn't big to begin with. I told them that's not up to the tourists, that would be up to you guys to make the rules and not let a couple dominate the whole section so others wouldn't be able to experience as well. I'm used to teppanyaki dining where different groups of guests share the same section. On top of that, he suggested I looked at the menu first as if I wouldn't be able to afford it (not sure if that was his intention but it came off that way). Anyway, overall it was a disappointing experience. Too bad because I wanted to talk to the chef since I read he has hibachi experience in the US and I wanted to share stories since I loved the hibachi/teppanyaki dining experience in the US, particularly...
Read moreDining for Chef Danny's hibachi restaurant was such a treat. The price to value cannot be beat. My girlfriend and I were in for such a treat, as we ordered the New York Steak, hibach fried rice and vegetables. The chef uses an amazing compound garlic and herb butter to finish the steak that makes it incredibly juicy and tender. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the hibachi fried rice and vegetables are perfectly delicious while also providing me with all the flavors from hibachi which made me fall in love with it in the first place. The only thing I was really missing was the signature ginger sauce. However they did provide the signature yum yum sauce which allowed me to easily forget the absence of any condiments. My girlfriend and I loved it here, and felt like we were treated as celebrities because there is only one hibachi table at the restaurant. So you are served and given attention like you are the only one in the restaurant. We will definitely be...
