My husband and I went June 2024. At that time, it was our third year coming to Seminyak. One of the things we really look forward to is coming to K Resto restaurant - eating the delicious food and seeing our fave server Dewa Iyu.
The first night we came, she was off that night. The second night we came - before we even got all the way there - she was running forward to say hello and give us a welcome hug. It was so nice to be remembered a year later. She was just as beautiful and sweet as we remembered. Her friend, the lovely Feri, waited on us.
I have food allergies so it makes me nervous to eat at restaurants. I was very impressed. They had taken a photo of my Allergy card and posted it in the kitchen and remembered what I like to order.
We were delighted and surprised to be shown appreciation of our loyalty when Tara brought over a plate of special complimentary canapรฉs for us. It was prawns w avocados and seared tuna bites - absolutely fabulous. When dinner came we were not disappointed. I had the red snapper with sautรฉed vegetables and it was fantastic. My husband had the Nasi Goreng Seafood and the XL fried prawn on top was like a cherry on top of a special treat.
I canโt say enough about the management, cashiers and kitchen staff. You can tell a lot about a restaurant by these talented people.
The location for K Resto is really good. Just pass by all the other restaurants on the beach in front of the double six until you get to it. You have a choice of sitting at a table under a large shade cloth but we prefer to sit on the comfy beanbag chairs with low, wooden tables directly on the beach in front of the entertainment. The beanbag chairs are good quality and have a back you can lean against. The shade umbrellas are both beautiful and fun to look at - they are lit up at night. In front is a swing set that is brightly lit. There is live...
ย ย ย Read moreWe've had 7 complete, excellent dinner experiences in the area to date, one not so good and then tonight a total dud at K Resto. Gado Gado was OK but our Mie Goreng's were re-heated...the cucumber and tomatoes warm and soft as were the prawn crackers all suggesting they were lunchtime or yesterday's left overs. They also arrived without the traditional fried egg which was stated in the menu...when the head waiter was questioned he tried to tell us the egg was mixed into the noodles...when told that strangely, the other 50 we've had in our lives came with said egg he quickly disappeared into the kitchen and presented 2 pre-cooked, not even re-heated fried eggs thinking he'd solved the problem. So as you can see we were not impressed. The poor guy doing the live performance really shouldn't as he was, again, the worst we've heard in 9 nights. We recommend you walk just 20 meters further north up the boardwalk and there are many more restaurants which must be better as this one is very poor and the music at everyone was SO much better. The bill wasn't high, nor should it be as we've have had much better...
ย ย ย Read moreThe worst restaurant so far.
We visited 4 beach restaurants so far... all of them gave us disgusting, bad Food. But this K Pesto is next level.
Food: we only got the worst frozen food you can imagine. Nothing selfmade.
Beef Burger: frozen bin disgusting frozen patty 1 tomato 1 lettuce leef no sauce, no cheese, nothing
Soft french fries, tasting like they were sitting 1h in the kitchen before serving.
We had to ask for ketchup....
Same with the Hotdog.
Literally, pls don't support those beach restaurants. It's a scam, at least 99% of them.
Around 250m away from the beach, there is a restaurant called Zanzibar. They offer good price and all selfmade food. Tasting excellent.
Service: the waiters are not able to lift there feet 1cm above the ground. So you here them all the time shuffling there shoes. So annoying. No of them asked, if food is good or if we need sth. I guess I know why...
Ambience: you listen to 2 or 3 singers at the same time ... Non of them is...
