The atmosphere and decor is really cool and I had high hopes for this place but as it is new I feel it still needs some refining. I came in a few minutes before 7pm and ordered a strawberry daiquiri and beef tacos. I was told the beef tacos were unavailable so I changed to the fish. Literally 1 minute later I asked if I could change my order to the beef burritto but was told it’s not possible to change my order so I asked if I could still order it and get what I don’t finish for takeaway. 1 minute later 2 mango daiquiris came out (I was told at this point that I get 2 for 1 during happy hour) and I didn’t say anything about the fact I ordered strawberry not mango, the mango daiquiri was very good. Then my tacos came out and the waiter asked me if I still wanted my burrito for take away. I said that I wanted it brought out and I would take away what I don’t finish. I ate 1 of the 3 tacos, the sauce was amazing but the batter on the fish was not crispy (nonetheless very good price for 3 tacos), a while later one of the staff came up to me and asked if something was wrong with the food as I hadn’t finished and I said I was still waiting on another dish but I will get the rest of the tacos for takeaway, after 45 minutes I was still waiting for my burrito so I asked for the bill and when the bill came out the order for the burrito was not there which I found very strange considering it was...
Read moreThere are sooooo many fantastic things to say about Lolita on Gili T island. The staff are all happy, friendly, helpful & kind I had a bicycle crash just outside of Lolita & their staff came running to assist me, hose me off because I was covered in mud, helped me into the bar/restaurant & then provided first aid care to a couple of my bleeding wounds. One of the staff, Imran, is a young man who is happy, kind, empathetic, provided first aid to me, talked to me a few times when I dropped in for food or a cold drink. Imran needs to be commended for the respect that he displayed to me, each time that I interacted with him. I’m very glad & grateful that Imran works at Lolita. The food each time was fresh, delicious, flavoursome, plentiful & nice & spicy. The buckets of Bintang were very thirst-quenching & reasonably priced. The cocktails were delicious, tasty & very cheap. The decor is incredible with an array of Mexican paintings/ murals on the walls, ceilings & the toilets. The toilets were clean, tidy, fresh, hand-wash was available to wash your hands. The ceiling fans & natural breeze from the water was delightful, helped us cool down & was very pleasant. The menu for food (meals), snacks, alcoholic drinks & non-alcoholic drinks was extensive….lots of choice.
I highly recommend going to Lolita if you EVER stay on Gili...
Read moreMe and my family visited lolita in February 2024. The ambient is superb and the staff is very very kind. Among our order were two beef Burritos without jalapenos, one chicken burito spicy with jalapenos and chicken fajitas not spicy, because our 11 year old daughter doesnt eat spicy food. 5 minutes after our order the waiter came and told us they have no beef at all. So we changed the beef buritos for chicken buritos. When the food came out my 11 year old daugter got extra spicy fajitas, and all the chicken buritos came without jalapenos. So the kitchen messed up our order totally... So after that they brought some jalapenos on the side. What shocked me the most is that the waiter brought the new order of chicken fajitas non spicy in less than a minute, so I was wondering if the food is made fresh??? In apology the waiter brought us a free iced tea, which nobody wanted to drink because we had plenty of drinks on our table. At the end the check came and it was quite high for gili standards, and the potrions were quite small, I left the Lolita restaurant still hungry so I went to the night market to top it off and there the food was 80% cheaper. In conclusion I can say that the food was delicious, but our overall experience was not so good. Maybe they just had a...
