My favorite place to have lunch at Jogja. Never miss the chance to visit Warung Bu Ageng every time i visit Jogja. They serve a great taste of homemade food and great ambiance. I love their Paru Ketumbar and it's their favorite menu so far. Paru ketumbar actually is cow's lungs cooked with coriander and other spices. It's a dry dish (without any wet dressing / soup). You can order this separately or as a Nasi Campur, but i love to order as a Nasi Campur. Because it's a package of various dish in one plate. You get rice, Paru Ketumbar, sweet potato chips (cooked with brown sugar), dried tuna, Kutai style chili sauce and their legendary kerupuk. Another dish that I love are Pecel, corn fritter and Ginger Tea. It's a must go place when...

This place had always been a highly recommended restaurant to visit whilst in Yogya. Try their nasi campur rumahan (a mix of rice with great varieties of side dishes, I especially enjoyed the ox tongue) and the famous bubur durian mlekoh (a hot warm bowl of durian porridge topped with cubes of white bread).

The back story of this restaurant was amazing as well. The owner used to cook for all her guest, traditional indo homemade food. The guest liked her food and encouraged her to open up a restaurant. Years later, Bu Ageng owned this nice little restaurant in Yogyakarta. The place gained its popularity when a famous Indonesian movie (Ada Apa Dengan Cinta) used the restaurant as one of their...

Lovely place although it can get a bit hot and stifling in the heat of the day. The service is prompt and courteous.

Food is beautifully presented and most people there were ordering the various nasi campur options. There are options with chicken, beef tongue, beef lung, lamb, etc or you can order separate dishes.

I got the kambing (lamb) nasi campur which came with various sides including a very interesting sweetened fried potato chip side as well as spicy eggplant, rice cracker etc. My one issue was the the lamb was very dry (no fatty) and chewy. I expected a more tender kambing like I had had with the satay kambing at a different restaurant. May want to consider getting...

A cozy restaurant with a large joglo building offering Indonesian dishes and beverages. The pecel rice with a fried egg was perfect (5/5), but other dishes were not right: the roasted chicken was rather tough (4/5), the iced ginger tea didn't have ginger taste at all (3/5), the red beans in the iced red bean drink weren't soft and its coconut milk was not so fresh (3/5), and the fried corn bakwan snack was a bit too salty (4/5). High chairs only. Cash payment or by card. Fast and friendly service. Clean restrooms and musholla (moslem prayer place). Spacious parking lot for motorbikes (with a roof) and cars. Reasonable prices. Very good free WiFi.
