This family meal out for pizza was a bit of a mixed bag... First up the positives: we were promptly seated to a comfortable area on the back wall. We all ordered pizza with a good selection for the kids and adults (mix of requirements). My "Calabrese" pizza was a bit of gamble but I was pleasantly surprised (it's super spicy mind). 2 negatives from our visit: the 250ml wine is served as a full glass of wine as opposed to being in a carafe. The wine suffers as a result and I was somewhat disappointed with the choice. The second was my Calamari starter which came out overcooked (any longer on the grill and they would have been burnt). Will probably be back for pizza (exceeded my expectations for a chain) but will skip the rest next time...

Smallest pizza I've ever had for more than €15!! Adjust the prices or the quality!!

I can consider it to be the worst gastronomic experience I have had here in Cork so far. I ordered a chicken fillet that was the size of my little finger, and a portion of salad equally shameful in presentation and quantity. It looked like I had left the rest of another customer's dish, it was so ugly and disorganized, it wouldn't even be worth 5 euros, let alone 19.88 euros, which was the amount I paid. I do not recommend. It's throwing money away. If delivery is like this, I won't go anywhere near the restaurant's door. Unfortunate. I send photos, the lemon looked like it had been sucked, how disgusting. I didn't eat anything, I wasted my money.

Only gave two stars because I felt morally bad for giving less and the delivery was prompt and on time, mind you, it was through deliveroo so that was not really the restaurant's achievement either.

I ordered the extra thin base as that is generally a preference of mine. I quote, from the website, ''or upgrade to a bigger, thinner, crispier Romana base for €2.15.''

We ordered one gluten free (for my S.O) and a regular for me, needless to say, it was far below expectations.

Both pizzas were sloppy, and although a gluten free pizza is somewhat understandable as the dough is different (although usual pizzerias do quite a good job at gluten free pizzas), I specifically paid 2.15 extra, for a thin crispy base. It was definitely thin, but crispy? Not a chance.

The gluten free pizza looked as if they had taken Tesco Every Day Value Tomato Sauce and just spread it on top, it had no cheese, no flavor, a significantly small amount of topping, and looked cheap.

Mine had a decent amount of topping, and didn't look so bad, but again, paid extra for an advertised crispy base, and it was just as sloppy.

In our hungry craze we sadly forgot to take pictures, or they would be posted. Apologies for that.

Won't be ordering...

Rang Milanos Oliver Plunkett street, cork on Sunday re a reservation, it was the jazz festival so rang to make a booking to make sure we could get a table. we were told it wasn't taking bookings it was walk ins only. When we went in the guy at the desk was extremely rude, told me if we didn't have a booking we couldn't get a table. When I said about ringing and what we were told he said we'll we've been booked out for weeks, and I said why weren't we told that, he had no reply but smirked as he rudely told me they were fully booked and that was it. My husband saw a table for four free and the restaurant wasn't full, when he pointed this out the guy said we chose from the walk ins who we give a table to and who we don't. we were shocked, I've eaten here many times and never met such a rude person. We just left and went home, I'll never return here, and I will make sure to tell everyone I know about how we were treated. And to the management who may read this, I would make sure the people you have greeting customers at the desk a much better attitude than the boy I encountered...

I visited Milano on Oliver Plunkett and had an extremely poor experience. I understand that guests should wait to be shown to a table, which I did without any problem. The restaurant was not busy at all — in fact, it was quite the opposite.

After being seated and given the menu, I timed exactly 15 minutes waiting for a server to take my order. I even called out to them. The staff were not busy attending to other customers; they were standing a bit further ahead, talking in the back section of the restaurant. I was seated near the entrance.

I raised my hand to call a waiter, and one person said they would come back — but never did. In the end, I simply stood up and left. While I have eaten there before and the food was fine, on this occasion I left without ordering.

When I’m paying for a meal, the minimum I expect is polite and attentive service. I understand if a place is packed and the staff are overwhelmed — that’s perfectly fine. But this was mid-afternoon, around 2 p.m., and the restaurant was empty. To me, the lack of service was unacceptable, and I...
