Tequila Jacks in Cork is an absolute gem of a Mexican restaurant that left me in awe after my second visit! The drinks are nothing short of incredible - from margaritas to tequila shots, the extensive bar menu is bound to satisfy even the most discerning of drinkers. Do ask ahead for their tequila selection as I found that they were out most of the premium tequila on their list. It’s not just about the drinks - the food is equally impressive, with offerings that are both delicious and authentic. While I loved the food, I must say that during my visit, some of the dishes arrived a bit cold. However, this didn't detract from the flavors, as each dish was packed with mouthwatering sensations that took me straight to the streets of Mexico. In terms of service, it was nothing extraordinary, but still satisfactory. Our waitress was friendly enough, but given that we were flagging her down multiple times to order further dishes, she could have been a bit more attentive. Beyond these minor drawbacks, the atmosphere at Tequila Jacks is spot on. The lively energy and vibrant decor make for a truly fun dining experience. Overall, Tequila Jacks in Cork provides a sensational Mexican culinary journey that is well worth experiencing. The high quality drinks, authentic food, and vibrant atmosphere all make for an exciting and enjoyable evening that you're bound to remember. This is a place I'll definitely be visiting again!

Had a table booked Monday at 8pm. Went in early and we were able to get a table earlier as it was quiet. We ordered 2for1 margaritas Nachos app Chicken tacos Hallomi fries All to share. Half hour after we ordered a waitress came over and asked had we had our nachos yet as we were having them as starters. Another 10/15 mins later the nachos arrived and we were just finished the nachos and the chicken tacos were brought over. We ordered 2 shots in between, the tacos were brought over regardless of wether we were ready or not. I’m glad we didn’t wait until the table was booked cause I could only imagine the service we would of Recieved. Finished the tacos and went out for a smoke and the waitress’s were roaming around cleaning and skipping our table which deterred us from staying and having another drink. I had to go to the bar and ask for the bill. We had the bill money out and I went to the loo and then my partner after and still no staff had came to collect the bill money minding the fact that there was no one in the restaurant. I went to the bar to pay and the 2 lads were too interested in the match that was on so when I asked for my receipt after he had given me my change there was a face made. The price of the food for an empty restaurant and the amount of staff for lack of attention is ridiculous. Working in hotels, restaurants and nightclubs for 12 years this isnt any sign of customer service. Please see receipt attatched.

The atmosphere is vibrant and lively. Staff are friendly. However, my main meal of fish tacos was disappointing. Actual taco shell was not heated. The battered fish part was good, however, the tacos had so much purple cabbage that they broke and the contents collapsed on my plate - and I was eating very carefully. Also there was barely aioli which made the filling overall quite dry. Maybe less cabbage, more aioli would work better? I ordered churros for take away and those were great. P.S. don't heat up the chocolate and caramel sauces in the microwave as the containers melt 🙃 food took forever but it was very busy. On the positive, my friend was happy with her chicken enchiladas. Other friends said veg/chicken tacos were good (not great) and the cocktails were a hit. Overall, I'd recommend going there for the vibe and maybe not ordering the fish tacos.

Really nice outside area to chill out during the sunny spells along the quay. Specifically went there to get a snack and a drink to refresh the bodies. Heard of the good Mexican Crowd pleasing menu. We just had a share of the Nachos. Slightly browned on service from the oven in the kitchen but didn't kill the taste. The real deal was the guy that went above and beyond the call of duty to make my pregnant girlfriend feel awesome with a zingy alcohol free cocktail. I love cocktails and I just wish I picked this aswell. Stephen was the chaps name and what a gentleman at that. Had such a good attitude and advice was golden to be honest. Good on you dude. Love the outside area but the bar is a force to reckon with. Tequila jacks is a good pit stop for any tourist or local. Wheelchair accessible and good food.
