I really can't recommend this place enough. It is pretty small, but very comfortable and homely. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and I reserved a spot beforehand over the phone and asked if they could sing happy birthday to my girlfriend at some point during the dinner. They sang her happy birthday during dessert and she was almost crying with happiness. Food was 10/10. They had one of the best starters I ever had in my life which was some starter with figs and cheese. My steak was perfect. The dessert, wine and atmosphere– perfect. Will absolutely be going back again. (Photo attached was from a different time I went here, which was also a fantastic experience)

We found Di Luca while walking back to our hotel in Dublin. Although reservations are required, they asked if we could finish up in an hour. We happened to be there an hour before the first reservations were scheduled and the place was empty. I said "if the kitchen can do it, we can do it." The food was amazing! I had a basic pasta dish, my wife had the night's special, hake fish with olives and capers and our friend had the gnocchi. We all raved about the food. This is a very small place with maybe 10 or 12 tables. They were so nice to accommodate us and even with that, we never felt rushed.

Decidedly average. Friendly enough staff, but very inattentive and more interested in chatting amongst themselves than serving customers. Burrata - chef must be in love, lots of crunchy salt. No bread in sight, not offered as an extra by the waiter. Small salad - ok, but possibly half a jar of capers in there? Ragu with mezze rigatoni - rather flavourless, yet a bit spicy. Carbonara - just sad and tasteless. Maybe the chef ran out of cheese and dumped a pot of cream in the sauce instead? Portion size was ok. Restaurant sparsely furnished and decorated.

Food was amazing here! Unfortunately our experience was not. There was a group of 6 of us and we were told by one of the waiters to be more quiet as there were complaints from another table that we were too loud. This is 7pm on a Friday night around the Christmas period. So it would wise not to come here with friends if you're looking to catch up and laugh together as the waiters will go out of their way to tell you to be quiet instead of politely telling the Karens and Kevins of the world that it is not really appropriate or reasonable to expect a group in a restaurant to be quiet just for them. It might be a good idea for the restaurant to reconsider allowing larger groups if they don't want people to be "loud". We remained polite and appreciative with the staff but unfortunately found the service in general was very off putting and rude. Will not...

Seriously underrated place, nobody I asked knew anything about it but it turned out to be brilliant all round.

Atmosphere is lovely, it’s a small place but they don’t pack the tables in too tight so you’re not on top of the other diners. Their starters were decent but the pasta dish was what was memorable - they do a perfectly al dente linguine and this thin spicy buttery sauce with prawns in it. The tiramisu is the best I’ve tasted outside of Italy and better than a lot that I’ve tasted in Italy too.

Some small issues - they’re very quick to bring out each next course, but I was there on valendtines day so can assume they’re trying to hurry things up a bit. Also the portion sizes aren’t amazing, I could have easily eaten another half serving of the main course even after a starter and the...
