It’s a NO from me. The waitress we had was obnoxiously rude, hostile and should not handle front of house/ be in a customer facing role. She also wasn’t able to do simple maths and told us in the most dismissive manner, this is on us, it’s not her job to calculate our bill. When I questioned her response and attitude, she put it up another level, lacking any sort of self-awareness. I’m still baffled and am wondering if there was a hidden camera somewhere to test customer reactions to this odd situation. When we asked for the manager she laughed and said while laughing “sure you wanna see the manager, I get him right away”. Absolute bewildering experience. Manager came shortly after and brought the situation to an escalation by jumping to conclusions and expecting his waitress was honest with him. It was embarrassing as other guests noticed what was going on. Fortunately, when I pointed this out to him, he did look around, noticed everyone was paying attention, apologised and tried to rectify. He took his time and listened to the whole story. While his apologies were genuine and accepted, the entire experience left a sour taste and we won’t return. The place is very loud by the way as there’s a late bar/ club style venue right beside it in the same vicinity so be prepared for having to raise your voice when talking to your friends over dinner. It’s also quite dark so if you have eyesight issues like I do, come prepared with glasses and phone torch (not making this up!) Their bill is printed on a miniature piece of paper. Food is mediocre. I did have better pizza before, the base was so thin it was barely visible. I felt like I was eating mostly tomato sauce with cheese. The crust revealed that there was an initial pizza base there. No wonder it has less kcal than standard pizzas - they advertise this! Also food came out within 5 Minutes after ordering, our starters didn’t make it out before the main. I’m not the most picky person but considering all of the above, this place is...

Keeping this brief, we were directed to the wrong table despite having a reservation in the "courtyard" area. We were placed among people without reservations, and it was simply a mistake from the floor manager.

Initially, I didn't plan to share my experience, but the disappointing treatment from the floor manager compelled me to do so.

After finishing our dinner (which cost 94 euros for 2 pizzas, lasagna, 2 cocktails, and 2 pints) and heading towards the exit, I received an email stating that my reservation was cancelled. Realizing something was amiss, I approached the waiter who served us and explained that our booking might have been mishandled. I was certain that the 30 euros (3 x 10) for the reservation wouldn't be refunded. She took me to the floor manager, and that's when the issue escalated.

I repeatedly explained to the manager that:

Our initial contact was with the security staff, to whom we showed the reservation from the start. After verifying our reservation, they contacted her, and she or anyone else didn't seat us at a table.

Right from the beginning, she tried to place the blame on us, adopting a passive-aggressive attitude, suggesting it was our fault for not showing the booking again once inside the venue. I even felt like my reservation money was at risk.

It was disheartening that despite being my first time there (and certainly the last one), the manager expected me, the customer, to know their protocols when the security staff, who was the first point of contact, knew about my reservation.

Throughout the whole conversation, she never said the word "apologies" and lacked a sorry attitude. Eventually, my money was refunded, and I left the place.

I wouldn't have taken the time to write this review if the person clearly responsible for my unpleasant experience at Little Pyg had shown even a minimum of courtesy while...

It is an overrated restaurant for what it offers.

the waiters are extremely arrogant, right from the beginning I asked what time it will open and one of the girls gave me an ugly look, and then a Portuguese spoke about me, guys.. you have to understand that in the world that's also other speakers of this language, not just you, be more PROFESSIONALS.

before sitting at the table, we were asked by the waiters twice about what is our purpose here, to drink or to eat? In my mind I can't understand this question since you brought both menus even though I came only for the food, it's an irrelevant question that only creates confusion, if I were to change my mind what are you going to do, you will don't bring me anything more to drink ?

3.you don't deserve the title of a Michelin star restaurant, a pile of dust everywhere, dirty tables, the same with the chairs...

4.let's talk about pizza, the ingredients used are local and here I mean mozzarella, which stretches when it's soft and then shrinks. The tomato sauce is not slightly sour, it was sweet and does not go well with the mozzarella which is also sweet. Although the dough is well matured but there were parts inside that were not well made, as proof that its digestion was more difficult. Then let's talk about basil, the Italian one is totally different from yours, you import it from somewhere and the one you have is called Thai and has a more spicy taste, it is not light like the Italian one. So either you bring natural ingredients or stop lying to the world, those who have been to Italy and know the true taste can easily make the difference. Please go to pizza the stone in stoneybatter and you will understand what it means to put passion into...

Little Pyg stands out as a beacon of Italian culinary excellence in Dublin. The ambiance is a seamless blend of elegance and comfort, making it the perfect setting for a delightful dinner. The menu at Little Pyg is a testament to their dedication to quality and authenticity. Each dish is crafted with the finest Italian and Irish ingredients, ensuring a taste that’s both genuine and innovative. The pizzas, a highlight of their offering, are a must-try. With a crust that’s just the right combination of chewy and crispy, and toppings that are fresh and flavorful, it’s clear why they’ve been voted as one of the best pizzerias in Ireland However, it’s with a hint of regret that I note the absence of the prawn pizza from the menu. A favorite among many, its disappearance has left a gap that’s felt not just in the menu, but in the heart of the dining experience. The prawn pizza, with its succulent seafood and perfect pairing of flavors, was a dish that brought a unique twist to the traditional pizza fare. While the rest of the menu continues to impress and delight, the removal of the prawn pizza is a misstep that’s hard to overlook. It’s my hope that Little Pyg will reconsider this decision and bring back a beloved classic that many have come to adore. In conclusion, Little Pyg offers an exceptional dining experience with a menu that’s rich in taste and variety. Despite the slight disappointment of the prawn pizza’s removal, the restaurant remains a top choice for anyone looking to enjoy some of the finest pizzas in Dublin. Here’s to hoping that the prawn pizza makes a triumphant return to a menu that’s already brimming with culinary delights.
