A bit of a weird experience here recently - the food was very nice, but we weren't able to finish our pizzas and wanted to bring the reminder (about half a pizza) home with us to have later. We called over the waitress, and I asked for the bill and a box for the leftovers. The waitress said "yes yes yes", and then put one plate on top of the other with some on the pizza still on the bottom plate, which made us raise our eyebrows. Then we were given the bill, paid it, and waited a few more minutes. The waitress was looking at us kinda wondering what we were still there for, and then we realized that we weren't getting that pizza boxed up. We discussed what to do between us, and thought that the pizza was probably already binned and didn't want to create an awkward/embarrassing scene in front of other customers by saying that we asked to take the leftovers. We decided to just leave it, but we won't be back. Good food, but poor communication skills from that staff member, which is a shame.

Amazing Napoli style pizza in the heart of Ranelagh. I recently visited Naples and enjoyed (too much) pizza there so I was a bit afraid to try it in Dublin but it did not disappoint. We ordered the Rita (Margherita) because you can't hide with this simple pizza. It's all about the quality of ingredients. I have to say this is the closest Margherita i could find that can compare with pizza in Napoli. Dough was very similar and only slightly more crunchy than in Naples. Definitely recommend for Napoli style pizza in Dublin.

Just stumbled into Dublin’s best Pizza by chance. I was actually gonna go to firebird around the corner but instead went in here. What a joyous mistake. Everything was perfect. Real practitioners of the art of pizza here. Leoparding on the dough. Even liked the way the guy at the front of house overrided my order with a recommendation right out of the top corner. He knew what I wanted and what on the menu would make me happiest and he nailed it. Convictions in the menu because he has confidence in the chef. 5*

Have been going for 2 years but won’t be going back. Prior to ordering my partner came from the toilet & said as usual the toilet barely ever flushes & there’s never water in the tap. It was a busy Saturday night but it is always busy but seriously noisy with the music also blasting over people talking. The food arrived, mine was well cooked but there was definitely no honey on my pizza & my partners was undercooked but we just ate it anyway. We sat down for our booking at 8pm & was handed the card machine at 8:33pm without asking literally as soon as I had taken the last bite of food which stunned me a bit but I paid. There were 2 tables of 4 that were eating when we sat down & we’re still sitting there when we were handed the bill. We travel 27km for Rita’s & we walked in our front door home at 9:12pm … we’ve always thought the drive was worth it but the whole experience was so disappointing & will try else...

This is the best pizza restaurant in the Ranelagh/Rathmines area.

Service is fast, efficient and friendly.

The restaurant interior is hip and tables are well-spaced out. I like that you can see the pizza oven.

Good buzz in the place, even on a rainy Tuesday.

Excellent pizza. Dough is so fresh and flavourful. Mozzarella is high quality, and tomato sauce is subtle. Good choice of toppings that ranges from the usual (pepperoni, olives) to the less usual (n'duja, artichoke). And very importantly - no soggy bases.

Try the pizza with parma ham and rocket, or the one with anchovies and capers. They're my faves.

Well-curated selection of beers and wines. They give you lots of ice with your coke (why don't more places do this?).

One suggestion - I'm not a fan of these QR code menus. I think they're gimmicky and impractical. I'd bring in a classic printed menu. But it's a minor niggle.

Go to Rita's....
