Years ago liked this place well enough in town as a cheaper place to eat pizza. This time - Overall not a great experience for us. Some points: NOT an authentic Italian place, although you can find some decent pizza crust, mixed reviews on the pizza topping quality. Wine list very poor, overall. Recommend house wine only if you're wanting a red in terms of value. Service was "Ok" to a certain point but some major problems arose when my young son ordered a marinara pizza with salami and received a fire hot salami on top of his pizza instead of a mild. Neither the menu nor the waiter advised my son or us of the spiciness level and honestly it would have been too hot for most adults. We are Italian and this level of spiciness is not common for most regions in Italy, but in any case should be advertised in some way. When we complained because our son had too much difficulty eating his meal, the staff made excuses instead of apologies. They changed the pizza but by this point not only was our son left to.eat on his own because everyone else at the table had already finished, but he felt ill from the spiciness of the first pizza and couldn't eat anything else. Nobody asked us how things were, so we asked for the bill where the red hot pizza still was still included on the bill, no apologies but Found a discretional charge for a 10% tip which was definitely not...
Read moreWent in for a meal with my girlfriend last night and the head waiter was incredibly rude to us. We tried to sit down in a booth that was clean (the restaurant was half empty at the time) , she then came over, without saying a word and grabbed the menus out of our hands and said we have to move to a cramped table in the corner closer to the other diners. She basically said in a rude frormat that the booth wasnt clean (it was spotless) and that we had to move and just walked off without any consultation. We wanted privacy and couldnt understand why she wouldnt let us sit down in this spot. The way she conducted herself was incredibly blunt and rude. It was really disappointing and I am actually a huge fan of Sano but this woman was so rude that we just decided to up and leave , saying we were going elsewhere and she actually grunted at us while we were leaving, pathetic. Was honestly like dealing with a child and not what youd expect from a restaurant of this normal quality. We went to Rita's after which was a much nicer experience and honestly will continue going if I see this woman still there. I am a local and have been to Sano countless times and was so angry after last night with...
Read moreWhen this opened it was the best value pizza in the area, good quality dough, well cooked with a crispy base, and an even spread of toppings, the past 4 times I've ordered have been bad, turned you off food but still not enough to complain as a reasonable person, this time it deserves this review... Neopolitan pizza? Pull the pepperoni from the back end of my tiger crusted ring, this pizza was moist, completely saturated with steam, the dough was thinner than the line Israel ride on the gaza strip, pepperoni slices clumped together like the razor wire around the fields of the pigs used to make it.. low and behold, nobody even thought to slice the pie, sure what customer would want their pizza sliced? Just roll it up into a big sushi pizza roll and shove it down my throat with the sauce I ordered as lubrication. As I tore a slice and tried to lift it up, just like the hopes and dreams of every Mexican who thought they had a solid footing after surmounting the texan border wall, they fell, just like every single topping from this raw excuse of dog food. I don't recommend ordering from here if you want to...
