Caprice in Galway isn't just a go-to destination for elegant dining experiences; it also excels in the art of brunch. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Caprice for brunch, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. The combination of a charming atmosphere, exceptional service, and delectable dishes made for an unforgettable brunch experience.
Upon entering Caprice, I was greeted with the same sophisticated ambiance that I had come to expect from this establishment. The stylish decor, cozy seating, and warm lighting created an inviting and comfortable setting for a leisurely brunch.
One of the highlights of my brunch experience was the impeccable service. The staff at Caprice were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, going above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my visit was enjoyable. They were well-versed in the brunch menu, offering insightful recommendations and accommodating any special dietary requirements or preferences.
As for the food, the brunch menu at Caprice offers a variety of mouthwatering options to cater to different tastes. I decided to try their pancakes and the breakfast platter, both of which exceeded my expectations.
The pancakes were a fluffy and indulgent delight. Served with a generous portion of maple syrup and topped with a choice of fresh fruits, they were the perfect combination of sweet and satisfying. The presentation was impeccable, and each bite was a little slice of brunch heaven.
The veggie breakfast platter was a feast for the senses. It featured a delicious assortment of grilled vegetables, sautéed mushrooms, baked beans, perfectly cooked eggs, and crispy hash browns. The flavors melded together beautifully, creating a hearty and wholesome breakfast experience for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.
What truly sets Caprice apart is the attention to detail in every dish. The quality of the ingredients, the careful execution of flavors, and the artful presentation all showcased the culinary expertise of the chefs. It was evident that they took pride in creating brunch dishes that were not only delicious but also visually appealing.
In terms of pricing, Caprice offers good value for the high quality of the food and the overall dining experience. While it may be slightly higher than your average brunch spot, the exceptional service, elegant atmosphere, and culinary excellence make it well worth the investment.
However, this also adds to the cozy and intimate atmosphere, and the quality of the food makes it worth the minor inconvenience.
The only reason I didn't give Caprice a full five-star rating is that the presentation, first time when i visited everything was lovely, delicious and very well presented but when i visited last time the pancakes served with only 2 pieces of strawberries, no syrup, no Nutella and no strawberry sauce and very less strawberries at the top and when i complained they just gave me the Nutella separately thats it. Little dissatisfied.
But still If you're looking for a memorable brunch experience in Galway, I highly recommend Caprice. Whether you're indulging in their heavenly pancakes or savoring their veggie breakfast platter, you can expect a brunch extravaganza that will leave your taste buds satisfied and your...
Read moreUnbelievably bad experience. First of all, when the four of sat down it took 30 minutes for anyone to even bring us a menu. There was a general air of annoyance from the staff, like we were an inconvenience. Then, a mother and son came in and literally had their food before we even got a chance to order. When we finally ordered after alerting a different waiter that we had not been given menus, they forgot two of our drinks and we had to ask several times before we got them. I have celiac disease had found this place on Findmegluten free and ordered one of two offerings on their allergy menu. I told the waitress I had celiac and that everything needed to be prepared separately. She shrugged it off and told me it was all done separately. I was reassured, but we should have just left. The mushroom toast came, and the bread was fine, but the seasoning was so overly salty it was almost inedible. At this point, I didn’t want to wait for another one to be made, so I just ate it. Big mistake! I had eaten nothing else that day and on the walk back to our air b-n-b I began to feel ill. When I got home I vomited for two hours, a tell-tale sign that I had been glutened. It is important to note that I had eaten in many restaurants in Galway before this and not been sick before this meal. I also was not sick after that day. I had to miss an outing with my group and stay home on the couch when I should have been enjoying a day of my trip. The worst part of the whole experience is that the waitstaff actually had the audacity to gaslight me. I returned two days later, and calmly explained to a member of the staff that the restaurant had made me sick. He claimed that it could not have been the restaurant because the order was marked as gluten free, the kitchen takes allergies seriously, and one of the staff members is gluten free. I explained that a single crumb could make me sick, and then he turned around and asked me if I had urged the severity to the server. He told me the manager would be in the following day, but we were leaving the next day. I’m not even sure we would have gotten a refund. It actually gets worse through. My fiancé was irate that they made me sick when he had wanted to leave after we sat for 30 minutes with no menus, so he wrote a google review describing our experience. The restaurant had the gall to reply back and say that I came in two days later “demanding a refund and speaking disrespectfully to staff.” I am floored to say the least. It is one thing to make someone sick, but then to not even take the onus, and blame and badmouth a customer is shameful. The restaurant claims that they cater well to celiacs and have a dedicated gluten free menu, yet their allergen menu has two gluten free options and they have two gluten free desserts. If you have any allergies or just don’t want to be treated like a burden for an overpriced subpar...
Read moreOverall very disappointing, despite the incredibly delicious food. I have never experienced service as bad as it is here, before we even stepped inside. I came here with my mom, daughter and 2 sisters. As we approached the door, the extremely rude host sort of blocked the door and told us to wait outside, didn't ask how many of us there was in our party, didn't tell us how long we'd have to wait. Just told us to get outside. We were going to leave, but I had been before and knew how good the food was. Another member of staff saw us at the door, asked how many and brought us straight up to a table! We ordered our food and drinks, expecting our coffee and juice to arrive while we waited for the meal, but didn't. It came after the food came out. Not one of the different wait staff we encountered came to check everything was ok or if we wanted more drinks - we would've bought another round of coffees at least. No one came to bring the bill so we just went downstairs to pay. The extremely rude host (from the front door earlier) was at the till and looked like he was angry we had come down. He told us to line up and get out of the way. He asked what table we were at, we replied we didn't know the table number, he got ANNOYED with us for not knowing!!!! We tried to explain the table and said that we sat at the only round table for 5 people up there, and he continued to make us feel like we were doing something wrong and burdening him. He continued to mutter under his breath that he's just trying to get us out of there. Didn't once ask how everything was for us today. He didn't care and he told us he didn't care and told us not to be rude to him!!! Honestly, I have never in my life come across a front of house staff as rude, unwelcoming and downright unprofessional as him. He is doing a terrible disservice to whoever owns Caprice - if he himself is the owner, I strongly advise customer service training if he cares about repeat customers and wants to...
