I lived in Galway for 3 years and got into magic at the very last of my stay. Although I only spent 5 months playing almost every friday at Dungeons and Donuts I can confidently say that you’ll probably never find a place like it! It’s got such a great vibe to it. The staff and the players are all extremely welcoming (even to newcomers like me). I never thought I’d say this but the combination of a donut and a sweet victory in a game of Commander is unprecedented!! They always go the extra mile to make sure you’ve booked your spot for a pre-release or any other event. The stock of items they have is so varied you’re never gonna get out without buying something new. Highly recommended place, whether you live in Galway or you’re just there on a holiday and feel like playing some games with people! Check their fb for their event schedule, they usually post everything...
Read moreI tried to order something through them on back order and was quoted a price on the item. I was quite happy with the quote.
Fast forward to when they were able to order in the item, and its price increased 43% from the original quote. I found this quite dishonest and proceeded to cancel my order. I wasn't told my quote was subject to change, so I couldn't understand why the extra cost was added.
I like the place cause it's the main resource for DnD in Galway, but I just found this experience bewildering.
Edit for the reply: I welcome the information provided because I didn't know you had two separate version prices. I wasn't told this on the phone call, I was just told the price went up. I believe this was more of a miscommunication rather...
Read moreI have been going to Dungeons and Donuts almost daily now since I discovered it 3 months ago. I just love the atmosphere of the place and the guys that work there are always happy to see you whenever you go in.
There is always a great atmosphere to the place and I can't not mention the great donuts freshly made every day. I've often spent an entire day sitting in having a laugh, playing one of the countless games they have in there (great place for a group or a family to get together and relax) or even just to read a book.
It's altogether like a place out of time, once you walk in you can safely leave the hustle and bustle of Galway at the door and immerse yourself in the calm...
