I recently had the pleasure of visiting this delightful little cafe for breakfast, and I must say, it was an experience to remember. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made me feel right at home.
One of the highlights of my visit was the croque madame breakfast that I ordered. It was simply amazing! The combination of the perfectly toasted bread, the savory ham, and the rich and creamy melted cheese was a symphony of flavors. The crowning glory was the beautifully cooked sunny-side-up egg on top, adding a touch of decadence to the dish. Each bite was a delight, and I found myself savoring every mouthful.
To complement my meal, I decided to try their chai tea latte, and I was not disappointed. The balance of spices and the creamy texture of the latte were spot on. It was the perfect blend of comforting warmth and aromatic flavors. I found myself indulging in the aromatic chai, which added a lovely touch to my breakfast experience.
The service at this cafe was nothing short of fantastic. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They took the time to ensure that I had everything I needed and made me feel like a valued guest. Their genuine hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit.
The cozy environment of the cafe was another aspect that stood out to me. With its intimate seating arrangement, soft lighting, and charming decor, it exuded a sense of tranquility and relaxation. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal in a peaceful setting.
Overall, I cannot recommend this cafe enough. The croque madame breakfast and chai tea latte were both superb, and the service and ambiance were exceptional. If you're looking for a hidden gem to start your day with a delightful meal, this cafe is the perfect choice. I will definitely be returning to indulge in their delectable offerings and soak in the cozy atmosphere...
Read moreI have recently found it difficult to find a good coffe shop open before 9:30am in Galway City, even more difficult to find a place where you can sit and get a good breakfast.
Even though I've passed by Equires on many occasions, never thought to try it but after seeing online reviews thought it would be worth a go. As you enter you'll be greeted with the warmest welcome, guided to your seat with a menu and given enough time to choose your option.
I went for the scrambled eggs with sourdough, and opted for some extra white pudding on the side. I asked if I could have the sourdough separate to the eggs as I hate soggy toast, and was assured that the sourdough toast would always be done as requested. After a lovely conversation with the gentleman I was served my coffee and awaited my breakfast.
When it arrived I was amazed at the portion sizes. I love a good sized breakfast and this did not disappoint. My dish even came with some lattice fries and I honestly struggled to eat everything! It was fresh and tasted amazing, and was great to hear that everything is cooked to order.
The level of attention and service is something that used to be the norm in Galway but is slowing fading, but you can be assured that both the service and food are of an extremely high standard.
I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else for my breakfast as this ticked all of the...
Read moreMy partner and I first visited esquires last year when visiting Galway when a lovely man called Colm was running it, everything was perfect that much we ate there every morning. We returned this year and first morning went to esquires unfortunately Colm is no longer running the business and it has changed hands. The service was awful the staff are rude. Whilst we were waiting a few tables got up and left then we could hear staff talking badly about customers who had left due to poor service, when our food arrived (a full Irish and mini Irish breakfast) the bacon was cold but plate was hot the “toast” was chucked on the plate and not even toasted and it was packet bread not fresh like before with 2 small pieces and one just ripped in half. When we tried to call over the girl who took our order she looked straight at us and ran back to the kitchen and then when we got her attention she took the food away we then decided not to eat and just pay for our coffees - initially we were told we’ve already put the order in and to eat the food and luckily another member staff come over and was more understanding and apologetic. Such a shame as it was a fantastic place in the past but we won’t be returning. It was really really busy so not sure if standards slipped because of this -...
