This place was such a vibe, and a lovely place to go to get me first ever beverage in Galway. I arrived off the coach from Dublin and started wandering around for a cafe with a cool vibe that may offer other choices from coffee, as I have stopped drinking coffee recently. I walked past a small Jungle cafe with a statue of a buddha head outside, and cool reggae music playing, it lured me in. The drinks menu I could see was perfect, and when I saw they had Acai on the menu, I knew this was my kind of place. The lovely lady behind the counter let me know that they had a bigger restaurant where I could sit down just 5 minutes walk away, so I made my way there, as wanted to check it out. As soon as I walked in I could feel the beautiful energy in this space, and knew this was where I was meant to come. I made my way to the lovely back area, that was decorated with gorgeous plants, and natural light flooding the area, guitar and lovely colourful art work on the wall, it was heaven. I was meeting my brother who lives in Galway here, the first time I had seen him in 6 years, so Jungle was a beautyfilled atmosphere to meet after so long. It was the first time he had ever been here also, despite living in Galway, and he said, this is a rare gem, you don't find cool vibing places like this in Galway. We had a fresh juice and a delicious Acai. I could tell they were made with love, as they tasted so good! Prices were reasonable and the service was really amazing, people checking on us if were ok or needed anything. Next time I am in Galway to visit my brother, I will for sure be back, and look forward to trying the amazing food that I could see on the food menu. Thank you Jungle for brining such a lovely vibe to Galway, and for being such a lovely place for me to have my first ever beverage in Galway. I memory I will never forget. I would recommend Jungle to all my family and friends that...

Rude young lady at the counter really soured the experience of what used to be a very cool place in the city centre to caffinate and have a tasty meal. On top of that, an 80¢ surcharge for plant milk is highway robbery, just another ugly face of capitalism during the climate crisis. After years as a barista, I know the scam.

Let's break this down with a standard 2 shot flat cappuccino with ~100ml of milk/foam. But I crunch time the numbers ignoring the air volume in the foam). So let's run the numbers:

€2.69 per litre for top shelf barista oat milk (retail price) at 27¢ per cappuccino, a worst case cost scenario.

€1.10 per liter for top shelf whole milk, (retail price), 11¢ per cappuccino, a worst case cost scenario.

The price difference is only ¢16 per cappuccino based on retail price and mind you, the amount of work for the barista is the same for steaming either milk type and that's covered in the base coffee price. Now if you ordered a flat white, cortado or macchiano, you use much less milk per serving, hence a bigger rip off of the niave customer.

Now bear in mind that 1 litre of cow milk had over 3 times the carbon footprint of oak milk, while using over 10 times more land and water, and over 5 times as much eutrophication of our waterways.

So here is your chance to be part of the solution instead of being part of...

Went to eat here for brunch, when we entered there was an employee behind the counter texting on her phone paying no attention to us at all. Then we just proceeded to look for a seat I met another employee and asked if they had a table for 2 he just looked straight at me and didn’t answer and walked away so so rude! Then we couldn’t find a seat but we were still willing to wait. However we went back up to the counter and there was 3 employees behind the counter having a great conversation and a good laugh but none of them payed any attention to us at all. Another couple came in and they were ignored also. Finally after the employee finished telling his story a solid 5 minutes later someone asked if we wanted a table.. we said yes and then she said did ye look yer selves we said we did and then she left the other employee just went back texting on her phone. We just left everyone was just soo rude terrible terrible service!! I don’t think this place wants business as the staff were as if they were out for lunch and didn’t work there. I only recognised that they worked there because they had aprons on and were standing behind the counter. Will not be returning or...

My friend and I arrived looking for shelter from the rain, and as soon as we walked in, we were struck by the atmosphere of the place. As a nature lover, the space immediately caught my eye, and I felt so happy to have found refuge from the rain in such a beautiful spot in Galway City. We ordered Americanos, and the coffee was great—both the flavor and color were spot on. My friend had an omelette, and I went for a dish with salmon, Korean-style marinated eggs, and hash browns with kimchi. I loved the combination of all those flavors—each one was bold, but they came together beautifully. I absolutely enjoyed the food, and there was nothing to complain about when it came to the coffee or the meal. I definitely recommend this place if you’re in Galway City.

Jungle Cafe is a standout for its year-round covered outdoor seating and quirky vibe. Featuring freshly baked pastries and lovingly made coffee from Badger and Dodo, this spot will strike a cord with those looking for something different. Relax to the patter of rain on the translucent roof as incense lightly drifts around you. Pop in for coffee, a pastry, or a meal surrounded by exotic plants. Located just off a busy intersection, the garden is surprisingly tranquil. Friendly staff prepare all the food to order with a smile and care. With very limited indoor seating those sensitive to the weather might find the setup hit or miss. But devoted customers will tell you they keep coming back for the good food, hot drinks, unusual atmosphere and cosy vibe.
