If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience in Galloway, Ireland, look no further than La Collina. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a cozy, inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the delicious Italian cuisine that awaits. The mussels in white wine garlic sauce were hands down some of the best I've ever had. The mussels were tender, and the sauce was a perfect balance of rich garlic and wine, with just the right amount of seasoning. It was so good I found myself soaking up every last drop of sauce with the fresh bread provided. Next up was the chicken wrapped in prosciutto and stuffed with cheese—absolute heaven. The chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy and tender, while the prosciutto added the perfect salty, savory touch. The cheese inside was melt-in-your-mouth good, elevating the entire dish to another level of comfort food perfection. And then, the tiramisu. I’m not exaggerating when I say it could be the best thing in the world. Rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced in terms of sweetness, it was the ideal end to a meal. It had just the right amount of espresso flavor, and the layers were light yet indulgent. Seriously, don’t skip dessert here! Thanks again to the amazing staff for their recommendations! Bring cash if you would like to tip as they don’t take tip on the card. I was bummed out because they...

We had a lovely family dinner at La Collina last night. Our tweens were with us so we figured Italian was a sure-fire hit when there's the option of pizza. The whole experience was warm and welcoming as if we were sitting in our long lost Italian grandmother's living room. The service was suburb, proper italian hospitality which really made the evening feel special. They were both very friendly and professional without ever being overbearing or pretentious. The decor was warm and comfortable which lead to an overall welcoming and relaxed experience. We got a few appetisers including bruschetta which was excellent. Everyone got pasta in the end including meatballs, carbonara, seafood spaghetti, and prawn fettuccine in a mushroom cream sauce which was a highlight. All were well priced, well prepared with homemade pasta and fresh ingredients, and flavourful sauces. I think we have fave found our new family dinner spot and look forward to trying more...

Went on spec. Salthill was busy however they took us but caveat was 1hr.20mins as the table was reserved. No problem! I ordered the Vesuvio, herself ordered the Fettucine with prawns and 2 glasses of house wine. The pizza came out first. Full of flavour and just spicy enough. The Fettucine 2 mins later, homemade pasta, so fresh, gorgeous flavours. Plenty of prawns. We had 2 more glass of wine and were finished in the time alloted. While we ate there was about 10 further walk-ins who were accomodated but with time limits due to a fully reserved restaurant later on in the evening (due to graduations in the Uni). The atmosphere is lovely, the 3 waitresses were attentive but not overly bearing and they weren't rushing anybody out. Always a winner.

Food was absolutely gorgeous service was very good food was very fresh, only thing that got me was a couple came into the restaurant just looking for coffees and were refused service because they were not ordering food, this very easily could have been us as 20 mins earlier we ordered coffee in another establishment and moved on down the strip and came across this lovely restaurant by chance, but if I had come and just ordered coffee and had been refused,as a very big pizza fan you would have lost a very good family of customers. Apart from that great place good value for money.we will be back next time we are in Galway.
