I basically visited here because we had a night in gallaway and they had great craft beers listed on the Untappd application. I very much enjoyed the heavy whiplash stout I had there and the staff that was there tried to recommend a solid place for an omelette but we didn’t get there the next morning because we could hardly sleep at the hotel we stayed at.

Nice pub, nice Irish vibe and perfect pint of Guinness! This area of Galway has a lot of small streets and old buildings, providing a amazing sensation! This pub is very traditional one and a great option in this area. Definitely recommended and for sure I'll return back with friends from Galway and people who is visiting the city.

This is a must stop in Galway. While there are many choices, the vibe and brew selection pushed it up on my list. Enjoyed a local IPA from Wide Street and great conversations with staff and patrons. A lot of neat spaces for various size groups. The service is fast and friendly. Thanks for a great pint.

Awful experience. Went there with my colleagues from work and as it is warm inside, I dropped my jacked on one of the benches which I taught it would be safe. Surprisely, when the time to leave came, my jacket was no longer there. It's my understanding that could be someone taken it by mistake or in the worst scenario it could be done intentionally. However, what surprised me more was the inoperability of the staff/owners/security to find help! They managed to trough the guiltless on me because I was nervous about my loss and without offending anybody I was louder than normal which I believe is normal under the circumstances. They simply don't care about anything! On the following day I went there and I had the opportunity to speak with 2 staff members, a boy and a girl, they were reasonable enough and I could explain my point and they explained theirs. On the following Monday at work, one of colleagues told that the thing happened with his expensive Tommy Hilfiger jacket 1 or 2 weeks earlier. Now, just before typing this review, I went there again simply to ask if someone had handled in my jacket just in case (off course I don't want to be there or spend any single cent with those kind people), the male with long hair which I presume is the manager or owner did not have the dignity to talk with me say if my jacket was there or not, guess what called the bouncer for me and said I was not welcome there, I don't wanna be welcome there, I just want what is mine and that was taken in that house.

I conclude with few questions for them:

On my understanding Blue Note is dancing bar that does not provide any place to keep clients belongings, so where is people supposed to leave the things?

The cameras that are filming the entry gate are there for what?

Couldn't they playback the cameras and identity who took the jackets and most important, if they were taken by accident or...

Do not recommend this place to anyone now. Extremely rude bar staff. Was there with friends, waited for half an hour to order drink at the bar. The lady who used to work there as bouncer was working at the bar, I waited ages for ordering, she ignored me, served everyone who came after me, then when I asked for a drink, she called the bearded guy who apparently is the manager of this place (remember this because we are gonna come back to this guy) and had me kicked out. I was shocked, so were my friends. First place in the world that kicked me out for waiting in line to order my drink. Also, I lost my jacket and bag that night in there, I went into check for it the next day and the manager (remember the bearded guy from earlier) told me they turned the place upside down and couldn't find it. Three days later my wife and the friend I was with that eventful night went there to check for my jacket, they found my jacket sitting on a chair where this manger guy was sitting down. Had his phone on the table directly in front of it and it looked as if he had been wearing my jacket. This is the same guy who told me they couldn't find my jacket. Then he had the audacity to tell I have to go and apologize to the bar staff when he lied about not finding my jacket and was probably wearing it and had no plans to return it. Do not recommend this place to anyone unless they get rid of the rude arrogant staff. No idea how they are in business with this attitude towards...

Nice quiet place for a drink although they close earlier than most of the other bars in the area. But what is with that one rude barman? I visited with my girlfriend months ago, some other patrons asked the waitress if its possible to raise the sun roof as it was a hot day and the sun was beating down. She went to ask , I guess the head barman? He came out, walked up to their table and very sternly asked " what's the problem here guys?" and then refused to raise the sun roof because the other customers might not want that.

We were sitting at the next table and both remarked how surprisingly rude he was. Only minutes before when my girlfriend and I sat down we also met with his rudeness, he came up to us and as we began to order drinks he interrupted with " first I'm going to need you to get up off those seats" because they needed to be sanitised before we sat down. These were also other incidents during other visits I won't get into.

I was so put off I haven't...
