this was pure bliss for body and soul!🌞‼️ i’m on a trip with my girlfriend and my family and after 5 days of heavy hitting sausage and bacon eeeeverywhere, my girlfriends stomach started crumbling even leading to a 2 day food poisoning… as did her mood. she was on very low blood sugar because she’d just craved a bowl of comforting and soothing healthy vegetarian rice as she is used to from home. also big menus everywhere and chaotic ordering situations lead to her temple which is her body suffering from time to time. but suddenly everything changed🐲🌀🤞🏼 we were just strolling through galway yet expecting another bacon and cheese sandwich when we suddenly stumbled across secret garden. life hast been the same since then. only one meal to choose from and the most perfect soothing bowl of quality rice curry, tasting like a home cooked hug of love in the sweetest atmosphere we could ever imagine. since this experience, the smile hasn’t left her face and our stomachs and souls are well nurished for the rest of the trip....

The selection of tea here is amazing, and it's for more than just a show. Each option is tasteful, has a pleasant smell, and is nicely presented. The pastries are nothing special, but they are fine. The inside section is unique, and having the option to sit on the floor with pillows or inside a very cosy corner brings a feeling of home. The outside area doesn't disappoint either, although the tables and chairs could be better; I couldn't help but feel like I was in a close friend's back garden having a good time. The atmosphere is everything you need for a good conversation. The staff even gave us blankets when we chose to sit outside; this was amazing. There is also a cat inside, who I assume is the manager, and I was not impressed with their work ethic. They were sleeping from when I entered to when I left. The only thing that hindered my enjoyment of the time I spent was other customers were talking political nonsense but at no fault of the staff...

Been coming here yearly since 2021 and it’s always a pleasure. Very cozy place with a wide array of pastries and coffee/tea beverages. Anything you want really.

Despite what some reviewers have said, the staff here is friendly. They may come across as rude to some, but let’s understand that they are serving the public for over 10 hrs a day. It takes a toll on anyone and there is only so much energy you can put out there as a service industry worker. They were all cordial and I had no issues with that.

I was fortunate to sit next to the cafe cat that frequented the place since its inception. The most chill cat that ever lived. Unfortunately she passed last fall, but lived a good life! I’m happy she had a peaceful environment around here till she moved on.

That being said, I highly recommend this place for a nice...

One of my favourite places in Galway and one of the best cafes I've ever been to! I love how this cafe is decorated. There's a gorgeous section of the cafe where you can sit down on cushions and set your things down on the low tables and just read in a literal cosy corner which I've done many a time. I love the fairy lights and the very chill vibes the place gives off. The staff are absolutely lovely as well and I always get a turmeric latte which is always wonderful. They have a lovely selection of cakes too. The outdoor part is the best when it's a sunny day and they have also have a resident cat lounging around ready to chill with you! I just absolutely adore this place! I would highly recommend it and it's one definitely not to miss if you're in Galway!
