I recently had the pleasure of trying Authentic Nigerian Takeaway cuisine, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience! I ordered the Ogbono Soup, a flavorful fish dish rich with delicious spices and packed with complementary ingredients that brought out the full West African taste. The portion was incredibly generous, allowing me to enjoy half immediately and save the rest for later—a true bonus! This hidden gem provides a genuine taste of Nigeria, with each bite offering a burst of authentic flavors. The staff is warm, dedicated, and clearly passionate about ensuring customer satisfaction, crafting each dish with care. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to indulge in a delightful, authentic Nigerian meal. It's a must-try!

Afro Delight in Limerick offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the rich and diverse flavors of African cuisine. I visited with two friends, and we were both excited to try something new. The dishes were full of flavor and really gave us a taste of various African culinary traditions. The experience was unique, with a variety of hearty and delicious meals that reflected the vibrant spices and ingredients from the continent. Everything was delicious, but it’s important to note that some of the meals are quite spicy – so be cautious if you’re not used to spicy food! Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend Afro Delight if you want to try something different and adventurous. Just be prepared for some heat in the dishes!

Really nice restaurant. The food is completely different to anything else in Limerick but it's good. The restaurant has a funky and nice vibe. The staff are lovely. They've a family feel to it but quality food. While we were there it seemed like there was loads of deliveries going out, so they're busy, which is good to see. We really liked the plantains as just a snack but explore the menu. It's really good

I recently visited this restaurant, and it was such a delightful experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were incredibly friendly and you could tell they were passionate about make this food.

As for the dishes, they were absolutely delicious. The flavors were unlike anything I’ve had before. It was rich, savory, and full of depth, offering a perfect balance of spices and seasonings. What stood out the most was how the food wasn’t overwhelmingly spicy, which is great for those who might not be able to tolerate a lot of heat. You could still experience the bold and unique flavors of Nigerian cuisine without being overwhelmed by spice.

Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, and I could tell there was a lot of care and passion put into the cooking. I tried a variety of dishes, and each one was a pleasant surprise, different from anything I've tasted before, but in a way that was both comforting and exciting. I loved how the food was hearty yet fresh, and the portions were generous, making it a great value.

Overall, the experience was memorable, and I can’t wait to return. The combination of flavorful food and a lovely atmosphere made it a standout...

An Unforgettable Birthday Experience at Afro Delight!

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday yesterday at Afro Delight in Limerick, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We drove nearly two hours all the way just so we could enjoy some authentic African cuisine and it was absolutely worth it.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and the customer service was top-notch. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive. When they found out it was my birthday, they surprised me with a free snack as a gift and even gave us a discount on our meal — such a thoughtful and kind gesture!

The food itself was bursting with flavour, fresh, well-prepared, and full of that true African essence you just can’t find everywhere. Every bite reminded me of home.

Afro Delight is more than just a restaurant; it’s a place where culture, hospitality, and amazing food come together to create a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore African cuisine or simply enjoy a warm, welcoming meal in Limerick.

Thank you, Afro Delight, for making my birthday so special — I’ll...

The pounded yam had a soft and chewy texture with very subtle flavours that goes well with the Okra soup that I got alongside it. The yam itself left a comforting taste but also goes nicely with the soup, complimenting each other’s features well. The okra soup was a little spicy, not too much but just enough to have a kick to it, I enjoyed the vast flavour that I hadn’t experienced before as well as it’s unique texture i’m assuming comes from the okra pods. Lastly, I got a small portion of plantain. I only wished that I had gotten it large instead because it was so good, I ended up finishing them before arriving home. At first glance, I thought they were just seasoned chips but my friend corrected me telling me they were made from ripe bananas which made a lot of sense on its tart and sweet flavours as well as it’s dense on the outside but mushier on the inside texture. Overall, I enjoyed my first experience on Nigerian cuisine, thank you...
