Lilac Rose Bridal — Local services in Limerick

My experience with Lilac Rose was an extremely positive one and I have to give full credit for this to Emma, who looked after me during my bridal appointment. Emma initially introduced herself to me via a video call, 2 days prior to my bridal appointment in store. She came across as warm, pleasant, professional and considerate of my thoughts and preferences in supporting me with finding the right dress. On the day of my appointment, Emma did not disappoint. My mother, sister and I were warmly welcomed and offered a drink to start (tea, coffee or proessco). Using the information I gave on the video call, Emma had a section of dresses I had picked, as well as some of her own selections (based on my taste) ready to try on. She was so patient, bubbly and respectful of my privacy when changing between dresses and I felt at ease straight away. Emma went above and beyond to ensure that I tried a number of options, in order to ensure I felt I got the most from my appointment. At no point did I feel she was trying to ‘sell’ me anything or that I was on a time limit during my appointment. I ended up saying yes to a dress and am confident that I picked the right one (after a close 2 dress decider) and got the most out of the day and my appointment. Emma followed up a week later by phone to reconfirm measurements taken, offer any additional help and recommend some seamstresses for any alterations at a later stage. She also assured me that service and support did not stop there and if I had any questions at all between now and next year relating to my dress, to reach out to her. I had the best experience at Lilac Rose. Jessica was so amazing to deal with and helped me find my dream dress. Having the pre-appointment video call was so useful, after being to 4 other bridal stores, this was the first time I encountered it and thought it was so great to meet Jessica, get through initial questions and get to know each other so that the appointment ran really smoothly from the get go.

On our video call, I explained to her what my ‘Pinterest Board Dream Dress’ was, but then told her after trying on that style in a few other stores, I ruled out that the style would work on my body. So explained lots of other styles I thought I should try.

When I got to the appointment, she had all of the other silhouettes I thought I should try ready, which were all beautiful, but she then threw the curveball that she had the ‘Pinterest Board Dream Dress’ waiting in the back if I wanted to try it, because she wasn’t settling for me saying I couldn’t wear my dream dress.

And, as soon as I put it on, I knew it was the one. The only dress that had brought me to tears. If it wasn’t for Jessica, I probably wouldn’t have trusted my gut and gotten my dream dress.

I can’t thank her enough for all her help and advice, and she was always at hand to send a voice note or message if I had questions. As well as being so incredibly warm and welcoming to me and my family.

I cannot speak highly enough of my experience in Lilac Rose with Aoibhínn. I was really dreading wedding dress shopping, feeling so nervous. Aoibhínn took all this on board and went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. First of all we had a video call a couple of days before my appointment- a feature that only Lilac Rose suggested in comparison to other bridal shops I visited- and we chatted through my worries, styles I liked, and what to expect from the appointment. The appointment itself was relaxed, there was no feeling of pressure to pick a dress, my privacy and comfort were kept to the fore front at all times, and Aoibhínn was my personal hype girl, making me feel so good, and being very honest in her opinions on different gowns. I didn’t buy my dress at the first visit, as I am an out and out overthinker, and this was not a problem at all, Aoibhínn invited me back to try on my favourites the following week. After taking some time to think about the options, I did fall in love with my dress in Lilac Rose, and Aoibhínn was more than happy to have me and my bridesmaids back in to try the dress on again, style it, and have the the big moment of saying yes to the gúna! 🤍 overall incredibly positive experience, and one I will cherish.
