I Called in yesterday to have something to eat. I was greeted by a young server very friendly and welcoming she sat me at a table and she gave me a menu. Have to admit the menu all over the place for me so only thing on it I would have eaten was the pizza cant go wrong with pizza so I ordered the ham and pineapple also I ordered extra onion and jalapeño or peppers no jalapeños was available so I ordered extra peppers. I also had a glass of prosecco and a sparkling water. The pizza arrived shortly after my order was taken and it was boring and tasteless . It had the thinnest slices of pineapple by 4 slices on it then a few little bits of onion and three to four chillies bits and with what I could see was bits of sliced ham on it and the dough was wet and pastie in the middle. No sauce came with the pizza no chilly flakes garlic sauce nothing. After I asked I got some spicy thick sauce that gave the pizza some taste but not much. My meal was nearly €40.00 euro bit much for a tasteless thin pizza but the water was nice and prosecco was nice to but the food...
Read moreCame to Fordes Courtyard for food with my family, we were very excited to try the food and drinks here as we loved Cobblestone Joes (which always had great service). We were a group of 5 adults, 4 of us are in our 30’s & 40’s and my 20 year old son. The bouncer was so rude towards my son, he asked him for his ID which was being presented to him but before he even looked at his ID the bouncer decided my son was not dressed appropriately. As he said this a woman entered the venue in leggings and a hoodie with her children with no problems, dressed much more casual than my son. He treated us like we had done something wrong and dismissed us as if we didn’t have a right to defend why he has accused my son of being dressed inappropriately, even though he was not! This is very disappointing, I will not be returning and I will make sure to tell people how they treat customers...
Read moreWe tried Fordes Courtyard for the first time today. Very happy with the food. It’s nice to have more Italian style food down this end of the city. Pizza was delicious - we just had a margarita so can’t comment on others with toppings but the base was great, light and crispy and the sauce was good. There was a light amount of cheese but we like it that way. We had risottos (duck & mushroom and chicken & mushroom ) and pastas too (cacio pepe and carbonara). All very nice and flavourful. The focaccia that came with them was absolutely delicious. The topped chips were very good too. Decent portion sizes. Price point was about right for the quality and city centre location . Nice atmosphere, attentive staff and it was clean and pleasant otherwise. Seemed a decent kids menu too. A good...
