When we arrived to Sullivan's we were excited as it looked like a really cool area with little huts to sit in. However I would never return here, the food was awful. We didn't eat the majority of it and complained to our server about it only to be met by antagonizing questions about each and every meal. It made us feel so uncomfortable as we are not usually ones to complain. The nacho's were bone dry with some grated cheese on top of them and melted, no sauce. There were quite a few burnt ones too which were inedible. We ordered the fried brie which unfortunately was not melted the whole way through which was not appetizing at all. The chicken wings again were very unappealing and to be honest resembled frogs legs. The garlic bread was saturated in oil and each piece had to be wiped down with tissue. The pizza, garlic bread and the prawns that we ordered were the only things that we ate and even at that it was more that it was the best of a bad bunch and we were starving. Nothing was done about our complaint, we had to pay in full for the meal no apologies given. At least we would have expected to not pay for the untouched meals. If you are planning to go here for food, I...
Read moreThis space is a must-visit for anyone in search of a unique beer garden experience. The entrance is a bit hidden and easy to miss, but once inside, you’ll find an awesome beer garden complete with cozy sheds and heating lamps.
Unfortunately, I missed the chance to taste the food as the kitchen closes at 9 PM. However, the beer selection more than made up for it. Apart from their own brand, Sullivan’s, there is an impressive variety of craft beers, all reasonably priced. If you're looking for more than just overpriced lagers from popular brands and want to enjoy some truly flavorful beer, this is the place to go.
The staff deserves special mention—two young ladies were running around with immense dedication, and they definitely deserve a pay increase for their hard work. Their service added to the overall positive experience.
To find this gem, you can enter through the wine shop or head straight to the courtyard. If you’re not familiar with Sullivan’s, don’t hesitate to ask for a taste. On a nice day, the dog-friendly patio is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy your beer.
I would definitely return and recommend it to others. This place is a delightful find for any...
Read moreFood is good to very good bar food. Beer is pretty good. The service I do find to be lacking, the staff are nice but the place seems to be quite chaotic and unorganised. The last three times we’ve been there there’s been massive delays and mistakes. We changed our booking over the phone but it wasn’t never changed in their books. So we waited for a free booth and even though there was one free we waited for another. We then waited a long time for our order and when it came had to remind staff of our drinks and one pizza (which happens often). It was over an hour from arrival that we even ordered our food. The previous time there was two of us on a quiet day, I got my pizza but my girlfriend didn’t get her burger until over 15min later when we reminded them half our food was forgotten. Often see staff walking around with tablets but not actually engaging with customers. Would love to say I’ll be back but after three bad experiences in a row I’ll be giving it a pass for a while. Again pretty good to great food just disorganised. Shout out to Diarmuid who once he arrived things seemed to get done! I’d stop in if I see...
