Where has the service gone? What has happened to manners and respect. Absolutely appalled at the experience my daughter and her friends had on a recent visit to Supermacās. I know the reply to this if any will be itās company policy not to allow people to sit without food which in any business this is 100% fair and the correct way to deal with loitering people, but this is different, this is not about how you asked two of the girls to leave which they did no problem, itās how the remaining girls who had bought food where spoken to aggressively and not believed they had purchased food, while trying to eat they have to prove who bought what and felt bullied. This is beyond normal behaviour in the service industry, which Iv worked in for over 20 years, Iv also been a very regular customer in Supermacās, we actually eat in store most weeks as a family, but my daughters experience as a teenager eating with friends is not the same as it is when dining with us. This is blatant discrimination. I understand their must be a significant problem with some youths and this has led Supermacās Kilkenny to have this bias against all teenagers but this is not ok and is discrimination, these teenagers are customers and deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. The attitude from management and floor staff needs to change. This is not acceptable behaviour from adults and i really hope this blanket ban on all teens ends: not every teenager is there to cause trouble. Thank you for your time....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am writing to share my daughterās recent experience at Supermacās in Kilkenny. She went with five friends. Three of them bought food and two did not. A worker then approached them and rudely told them to āwalk themselves straight back outā because they hadnāt bought anything. This was embarrassing and disrespectful. In any other restaurant, you are allowed to sit with friends even if you havenāt bought anything. As long as youāre not taking up extra space, thereās no issue. But at Supermacās, my daughter and her friends were told to leave simply because they were teenagers who hadnāt bought food. This wasnāt an isolated incident. Other groups of teenagers were treated the same way during their visit. The workers seemed to have a problem with young people being there, even if they werenāt causing trouble. This shows a pattern of mistreatment and Iām concerned about the lack of respect shown to teenagers. I understand that businesses have rules, however this was a very rude way to enforce them. My daughter and her friends were made to feel unwelcome. I hope management takes this seriously and looks into how young customers are treated at this location. Everyone deserves to feel respected and my daughter and her friends were left feeling very upset. Please learn how to deal with customers properly, just because they are teenagers doesnāt make them any less...

I then responded that I had been seated for 10 minutes and came up to check on my ordered. While sitting down the end of the restaurant I hear this āmanagerā moire continuously complaining about myself, my partner also heard this. I cannot believe the level of disregard and frustration towards 1 of not too many customers this evening. Harry who took our order and delivered our food to our table was more than pleasant! More staff like harry, less staff...
