Regina Margherita — Restaurant in Alghero

We ordered lasagna, tuna salad and two kind of pizza Napoletana, as well as some drinks. The drinks & food arrived promptly, the service was second to none, and our waitress was super-courteous and friendly, even though she did not speak much English - she did not need it to demonstrate her hospitality and a genuine interest in making our dining experience a memorable one. The food was incredible, with lasagna melting in your mouth, the pizza dough being crispy and fluffy at the same time, the salad vegetables tasty and fresh…plus, of course, the local beer…a real feast of dishes only Italians can prepare right.

I am so happy I did not read prior reviews of people that have clearly no appreciation of Italian cuisine - they complain of pasta being uncooked (never heard of pasta al dente) and bread being like from “Lidl” (who, btw, has a seriously good bakery). Do not listen to them and don’t miss this one. Oh, and I forgot: very fairly priced, a bill for the four of us came...

If I could give 0 stars I would.. First off I arrived with my mom and requested to sit out doors.. we were served by an older short waiter.. he rushed us to sit.. we requested a change of seat as someone next to us was smoking.. he rolled his eyes and said ok sit wherever you want.. I ordered the 3 course meal for my mom he had no pacience to explain the menu..as I order arrived we were not able to finish all I requested the main course to go ( it had not yet arrived- 20 minutes waiting) he became upset and said why.. that’s for here we don’t have to go.. he then reluctantly accepted..I was not able to finish my pizza pie.. and asked for a box as I saw people in the street with pizza boxes and I was full.. he took my plate and talked under his breath in Italian and said ‘incredible’ -horrible attention, despite excellent touristic location, he had a nasty demeanor and I would never go back nor...

Horrible experience. It started with ordering drinks We got a ice cold red wine? and a lukewarm cola, thats strange. Following up we got bread which tasted and felt like it was bought in lidl. I ordered a plate with octopus, cod, french fries and a salad. The fries where mediocre the salad was just plain iceberg and octopus and cod was deep fried even though it wasnt advertised as such. It tasted bland and couldve easily been from lidl too. The person i was accompanied by ordered a plate too but instead of octopus and cod it was sausage and chicken. The chicken was so dry and flavourless that they only ate one piece. Such a bad place, and expensive for something that a microwave couldve...
