This was a difficult review for me - I really wasn’t sure what to make of this place (for reasons I will explain in a moment).

We tried the large tasting platter. There was some of it that were absolutely amazing; fresh with simple tastes that we have all come to expect and love from Italy. But, unfortunately, some of the items on the platter were a little bit old and stale. So, take that as you will.

To be honest, it was very unexpected (you would think the entire tasting plate would be fresh, or the entire tasting plate would be old).

The service was very ordinary. The girl who was serving us seemed a little bit rude. We tried to smile at her, but she seemed to be in a bad mood (at one stage we thought we had done something to upset her). Either way, we didn’t take it to heart and just put it down to her having a bad day (it happens to the best of us).

So, I gave this place 3 stars because of all of the above reasons. I really was hoping to give it a 4 or a 5 (because the food looked so good).

This has been the best restaurant I've dined at in Italy. The food is fresh and delicious. They are mindful of foods that can cause allergies, allowing you to discuss any concerns with the waiter, who is very nice and friendly.

You can also request to replace the ham with turkey or chicken.

The olives are so fresh, it's as if they were picked from the tree and placed directly on your table. Delicious!

Recommendations:

I would improve the way they display the menu because I saw many people struggling to understand it. I wanted to shout to them, "Hey, the good food is right here!"

We came twice to this place, the first (thanks Nicola and your colleague !!!) was so great that we kept the address in mind for out last night! What a disappointment... Our waitresss (Mariangela) was rude and bad at her job (never said hi, didn't make us taste the wine, kept talking angrily at us, never brought us glasses or cuttlery even though we asked numerous times) and so on..
