Ristorante Pizzeria 900 Strati — Restaurant in Bergamo

Albergo 900 Strati ||This was a one night booking. It was a fast 25 minute walk from Bergamo train station or if flying in use Bus 1/1A and this shortens the walk by half. In fact it was just below the citi alta rising up close behind the hotel. Very picturesque when lit up at night. ||It was buzzing in the reception area which is the restaurant / dining area. ||The staff were very friendly working well around my lack of Italian speech. The rack rate was bargain basement. ||The rom was a single on the first floor (5). It was immaculately clean with lots of space. ||Fully equipped en suite with efficient shower. ||I ate in the hotel restaurant which was good quality and reasonable value. ||My only mistake was not saying I was leaving early 6am and there was no staff around to sign out and hand keys in. I did the next best thing and hung them on the hook where they were when I arrived. ||Plus side was very good price, clean, friendly staff and good food. ||Downsides? None for me. I love this city and would be happy to stay here if...

We were here for 5 days stay and I think it was a good choice for us - you get what you paid for! The room was cleaned every single day, we also became the fresh towels, new soap and everytime our room was like we just arrived, cleanliness was really perfect! The basic breakfast wasn´t that interesting - only defrosted sweetcakes and some jam and honey with toast. But after we asked for something savory we have been really surprised - very nice gentleman (I think the owner himself) brought us the "italian plate" with salami, cheese variations (everything local and really good), everytime we were asked wether we want coffee, tee or some fresh water. There was the serving table with various of the juices, sparkling water, tea and so on. I must say we had very nice "short" holiday in Bergamo and even if nearly no one spoke english or german, we only met nice, generous and really friendly people there!
