We stumbled upon this charming Italian restaurant in Bologna by pure chance, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable food experiences I’ve ever had. The pasta is made fresh right in front of you, with such love and care that you can truly taste the passion in every bite.

As someone who loves Italian food and eats it often, I can honestly say this place has completely reset my standards. After tasting what real, authentic, high-quality Italian cuisine should be, I don’t think I can eat Italian food anywhere else again without comparing it to this.

The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the aubergine parmigiana, potato truffle flan, gramigna alla salsiccia, and beef fillet with balsamic vinegar — each dish was rich in flavour and beautifully prepared.

Unfortunately, the overall experience was significantly let down by the service. Despite several attempts to get the attention of the waitstaff, it took an unreasonably long time for our order to be taken. Even simple requests had to be repeated before they were acknowledged, and some staff members came across as curt and disinterested, giving the impression they were eager for their shift to end.

We went here on a last minute reservation within the last hour that they were open. When we walked in, theyvall greeted us by name and it felt like we were immediately a part of their family. The food was amazing (eggplant parmesan, ricotta and spinach tortellini, and lasagna bolognese). This is a family owned place that welcomed us with open arms! We went later in the night on the Monday after Easter and even though they were closing while we finished eating, they were so friendly and offered us traditional Sicilian liquor/wine for dessert.
