âNo, itâs not possibleâ - this seems to be the theme of not only this establishment but the region in general. I had a reservation to this excuse for a restaurant. Upon arriving the snooty waitresses whose literacy I question stated they could not read my name on the reservation list. Nonetheless they agreed to seat my party and acted as though they were doing us a favor. Being in a great mood and not really bothered by her comments and looks we allowed the waitress to take us to the area of the restaurant I could only compare to the dark area you send outcasts never to hear from them again. And believe it or not thatâs exactly what happened! We were never heard. We sat in the dark corner of this restaurant where everyoneâs tables had lights and staff attending to them, everyone except us. The next 40 minutes consisted of my party members trying to flag down the staff for menus or even a drop of water. When the staff did arrive they looked right through me, like I did not exist. If youâre not Italian theyâre beyond rude to you. Hungry and reluctant we finally ordered. Bad mistake. Food arrived and just as bad. Very bad. Never...
Read moreMy husband and I are what weâd consider low maintenance patrons. We did not have a reservation so maybe that was the issue? either way- We stopped at this beautiful rooftop bar as a recommendation from a friend before going to dinner. We were there 1.5 hours. Saw our waitress only two times during this whole experience. I had to pull her over 45 minutes in to ask for another drink. Meanwhile 3 parties who ordered after us received their cocktails. We were told we could not sit near the railing (where the views are) without a reservation but then proceeded to witness several parties after us being seated without reservation In The viewpoint seating.
While we understand short staff, busy tourist restaurants, rules etc. we felt this place was extremely pretentious. We ended up having to leave cash on the table so we didnât miss our dinner reservation because we couldnât get anyone to give us our bill. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It really lowered our opinion of Capri as a whole. Not worth your...
Read moreWith our four hours on Capri, we wanted to do something special, not just shop or drive all over the island, so we made a reservation here on Sep 29. The reservation process was easy by email, and l think those with reservations get preferred seating. I think a few walk-ins got tables, but I wouldnât chance it. Also, itâs an easy walk from the center of town (piazza Umberto).
We knew the view would be fantastic, and it sure was, but the food and service were both excellent as well. and the prices were not anything out of control at all. The blue drink in the picture is like a blue margarita with âsea airâ serving as the âsaltâ on the rim. I think it was called De Pinti di blu. We would absolutely return whenever...
