Hangout Capri — Restaurant in Capri

Water here costs 4€/person even though it's different price on the menu!

We really liked the vibe, staff, food and drinks of the bar but they over charged us and we unfortunately found that out afterwords (you should always double check the bill).

We ordered: Americano hamburger 9€ Caesar salad 10€ Class of Pinot Grigio 6€ Draft weiss beer 8€ Water 2,5€

Which is total of 35,5€ - they charged us 45€.

Okay - coperta is probably 2€/person but still it doesn't add up.

When we found this out, it was already too late and we left with a really bad feeling about the restaurant... and we even tip them!

So - is it a tourist trap or they just can't count? I can't say but either way I can't recommend this restaurant because they over charge.

EDIT (after restautants response): okay - we had one bottle of water for 2 person and if that costs us 8€, then the math is right. It's still the most expensive water we've ever had and maybe we got it wrong because on the menu it shows a different price.

When we noticed this, we were off the island already so we had no opportunity to come back and...

During our visit to Capri, my son, his girlfriend, and I were looking to escape the busy crowds, and we stumbled upon Hangout in Capri on a whim—what a fantastic decision! While I love Italian cuisine, I was craving something fresh and light, and the chicken strips in panko bread crumbs with Thai sauce and a Greek salad completely hit the spot. It's been over a week, and I’m still thinking about how delicious it was! Honestly, I’d take the ferry back to Capri just for this dish!

My son ordered the schnitzel sandwich, and he devoured it with gusto. His girlfriend enjoyed a shrimp pasta, and she was equally impressed. CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE YOU PAY

We had two delicious meals here on two days back to back. Club sandwich and the burger were both great! This place seemed the best value in the area for food. I think the soft drinks are very overpriced though…

HOWEVER… both times, our main meals were put through on our bill as more expensive items from the menu… so please check your bill before you pay as this seemed very strange to us to happen twice in a row. Based on the rest of these reviews this seems like it is happening to far too many people to be coincidental which is disappointing that they are being dishonest and taking advantage of tourists… if this is an honest mistake then they need to sort out their pricing and billing system as they are losing good reviews… this is the only reason this place loses stars for me as you leave with a bad feeling even after enjoying...
