We were here for lunch on October 6, 2024. We found this restaurant called Ziqu Terrace Restaurant and the reviews said it was a bit expensive but food was great and it is a nice break from the crazy crowds. We walked up there on a narrow road, having to stop to avoid fast cars and scooters but once we got where my phone said it should be, we didn’t see an obvious restaurant so we walked into the courtyard and a person asked if they could help us and they led us around the beautiful hotel grounds, past the pool and finally to the hotel restaurant. It is perched on the hill with wonderful views of the Mediterranean and Vesuvius in the background. So we weren’t sure if we wanted to stay because it looked quite expensive but we were greeted by a wonderful host named BIAGIAO. He gave us menus to look at so we could decide and pleasantly suggested we sit while we decide. Yes, it is expensive but so worth it! We did decide to stay. I ordered a pasta dish that was tagiolini with crab, garlic, chili pepper oil and cherry tomatoes. My wife got a pasta dish with zucchini and a provolone del Monica sauce. We didn’t order an appetizer but as we were waiting, Biagiao brought out a small bowl with some whipped cheese (see attached photo) that was so good! I ordered a glass of red wine but Biagiao accidentally poured us a generous pour of white to try and as he was pouring I reminded him that I had asked for red so he gave the white to us to drink and then poured my red. The white wine, I think it was one of their whites made from falanghina grapes and it was very good. The red was good also but the glass of white was actually our favorite of the two! Biagiao definitely knew better than us which wine we would enjoy! . After our delicious pasta dishes he asked if we would like to try a sample of their lemoncello. It was the best lemoncello we had on our trip! It was a creamy drink and he said they make it there from their own lemons. So thank you to Ziqu and especially BIAGIAO for making this a very memorable lunch! Our lunch cost €120 but well worth it for the food and experience! And such a nice, relaxing break from the...
Read moreOn the occasion of my partner’s birthday, we had the pleasure of spending an unforgettable evening here. Even in advance, I had reached out via email, and the team exceeded all our expectations, creating a truly memorable experience for us. After a warm welcome, we were shown to our table, where Biagio greeted us. Right away, we felt that hospitality and personal attention are at the very heart of this place. The enchanting view, along with the elegant and high-quality atmosphere of the restaurant, set the stage for a truly special evening. Every recommendation that evening was spot on. The 5-course menu is simply a highlight and absolutely worth recommending: rooted in regional tradition, creatively crafted, and reinterpreted with a modern touch. Each course was a delight for both the eyes and the palate. Biagio and his team perfected the service: attentive, warm, and always present at exactly the right moment. A special mention goes to the wine recommendation (a Vino Bianco Aia delle Monache), which paired beautifully with the menu and elevated the experience even more. Whereas in comparable restaurants the service might sometimes fall a little short, here it was excellent from the very first moment until the very last. It is precisely this combination of culinary excellence, refined atmosphere, and personal care that makes the real difference. A heartfelt thank you to Biagio and the entire team for this wonderful evening. We will be...
Read moreI am in the food industry and I do not mind paying a premium for high-quality food. Capri is known to be an expensive island. I am staying at JK Place, and I will write a separate review about their kitchen and my stay.
During our three-week trip to Italy, we dined at various restaurants, ranging from I will say cheap to very expensive. This particular restaurant falls into expensive category. You can say and comparable to a five-star hotel restaurant for lunch. Fish and octopus dishes were priced around 40 euros each. A bottle of beer cost 12 euros, and my wife's Aperol Spritz was 28 euros.
At that point, I don't understand why they could charge such high prices for aperol spritz . Maybe , everthing comes from their back yard.lol. The server quickly took back the itemized receipt, and I realized why he was in such a hurry. However, I managed to catch a glimpse of the Aperol Spritz price. Again 28 euros. The food was good, and the service was ok However, I do not believe it is worth paying 28 euros for a single drink. Therefore, I recommend carefully reviewing the menu before ordering food and drinks. The view of the sea from the restaurant is quite pleasant. Thanks. Happy 🍹 drinking with 28...
