Please BEWARE!!! This restaurant is DECEIVING!! My friends and I ate lunch here during our boat trip to Capri. This restaurant was recommended by the captain, who stated the 100 euro docking fee would be "taken care of" if we ate at this particular restaurant. After being seated the host brought out a bucket of fish (catch of the day) and proceeded to tell us about the chef specials for the day. These specials are not on the menu. I ordered the monk fish with soup and the waiter told me it was way too big for one person to eat. After hearing that, my husband and I decided to share that one dish. The waiter never told us the price. One big mistake we made was not asking the price. The receipt showed that we were charged for 2 meals which totaled 300 euros. We were under the impression that we would be charged for one dish for us to share, however because the dish is considered to be big enough for 2 people we were charged twice. We also asked for 2 bottles of white wine which cost 40 euros each according to the menu. The waiter brought out a bottle of wine that was double the size of a normal bottle of wine. We asked if this size bottle of wine was equal to 2 bottles and we were told it was. We were ok with it and proceeded to enjoy it. The receipt showed we were charged 95 euros instead of 80 euros. If you still choose to dine here please ask for prices and clarification when told a meal can be shared. We asked if this size bottle of wine was equal to 2 bottles and we were told it was. Read moreIf you're not wearing designer clothes, don't bother going because you'll get denied service. Husband and I were exploring the entire island so we dressed in shorts, shirts, and sneakers for comfort. Before we could even ask the hostess if there was availability to eat beachside so we could enjoy a good meal while having access to their private water we looked that way and were immediately told by the front desk that the space outside is strictly reserved for club members. Were ushered back outside and before the left us stranded by husband asked "we can't even eat here?" where they ignored his question and grabbed a folding table and chairs with no place settings or tablecloth and put them right in front of the entrance and then gave us strictly a drink menu. We ordered 2 lemon spritzer alcoholic beverages that were given to us with NO alcohol in it, just lemon juice and club soda. While waiting for our drinks we saw a family of 5 well dressed walk into the building and hear the father and husband ask how does this work? Clearly never visiting this restaurant before either. The hostess said they would sit beach side, or under the terrace, for which they chose beach side, the so called section that is for "club members only". We immediately paid for our terrible drinks and walked away. Even paying for the drinks we were treated very rudely. We were extremely profiled for what we were wearing when we planned on spending a good amount of money on food and drinks from the afternoon into the night. Terrible experience and will never go there again when we yacht back over...
Read moreWe went here for the sun loungers and spent the day here. We decided to get a meal in the restaurant during the day (rather than ordering to the loungers).
BE CAREFUL when choosing to do this. The fish of the day was €9/100gm on the menu and our waiter told us it was actually cheaper to get the fish of the day. He brought out a raw fish of the day saying it was 700gm and would be €40 per person (as one portion was approx 300gm).
Only one of us (out of 2) wanted the fish so he offered us half of the fish (€40) which I decided to go for and my partner got a regular tomato pasta.
The bill came down and they charged me €80 for my fish of the day with a half portion of pasta. I fought them on this as there was no way 300gm of fish was €80 and he proceeded to tell me that the fish they gave me was "a different bigger fish" to what they had shown me.
LIES!! I would be surprised if the piece of fish on my plate was even 200gm. Eventually they agreed to only charge us the €40 for the fish of the day but all of the back and forth and the manipulation from the staff was ridiculous.
This may work on some tourists but not all. Please have your wits about you when ordering the fish of the day from this place and make sure to ask how much it will cost as you put in the order (regardless of what fish he has...
