Mr Hyde Pub — Restaurant in Catania

Disappointing for a place calling itself a “pub.” The draft beer selection is mostly Peroni—fine, but very limited, especially if you’re expecting variety. Even more puzzling, they only serve half pints, with no option for a full one. Why? It feels like an odd and unnecessary choice. At €4 for a small glass of a commercial lager, it’s definitely overpriced. Add to that a dark, gloomy location, and it just doesn’t deliver the atmosphere or value I’d expect....

Having lived in Catania for a year this is my number one place having pretty much been everywhere and let me tell you about something, service is excellent, drinks well prepared and tasty. My favorite thing is that their Chili Con Carne is the best I’ve ever had in Europe and I’ve been all over that continent. If you are in Catania then you must visit Mr. Hyde. Their interior is also amazing. From an old English pharmacy and I don’t believe it’s props but...

Uno scempio!! Sono stato una sera a cena con la mia ragazza......non l'avessi mai fatto!! Iniziamo col dire che i menù stavano puzzando ed erano tutti macchiati ma inoltre tra tutta la miriade di pietanze annoverate erano quasi tutte non pervenute.. Al ché abbiamo optato per queste famose nachos col formaggio sopra (piatto arrivato dopo 50 minuti) IMPRESENTABILE!!! Praticamente era un piatto della pizza con una convezione di nachos sopra e del formaggio ovviamente freddo tipo qualche macchia qui e là.. Poi abbiamo chiesto se fosse possibile creare una cesar salad elencando gli ingredienti quindi: lattuga, uovo, pollo, scaglie, pomodorino, salsa yogurt e crostini.. La risposta del cameriere "si, la possiamo fare tranquillamente" Tutto è arrivato tranne ché una cesar salad.. Alle mie lamentele di questo piatto triste con un po di lattughino e un po di pollo al centro (e nient'altro) il cameriere ha dato la colpa a me che ho ordinato una cosa fuori dal menù...mah!! Ovviamente incompetente!! EVITATE QUESTO SCEMPIO... ANDATE DI FRONTE....NON...
