Pasta Bistrot Catania — Restaurant in Catania

Bruscetta 5 Euros was burnt, in the Limoncello Spritz 7 Euros the Lemon was moldy. The salad was just bad- never have I had a worse salad for 10 Euros, it was not fresh and the ingredients where at max worth 2 Euros. And the lasagne for 12 Euros was bland and dry on the outside - it seemed as if the lasagne was straight out of the microwave because the inside was much too warm. Also the whole inside seating area had a burnt smell coming directly from the kitchen which is why they had ventilators in the whole seating area. Also the owner was smoking inside. When we paid we got a quick glimpse into the kitchen which did not look clean- personally I would advise against this restaurant, sorry.

In total not worth it at all 5 + 14 + 10 + 12 + 3 Cuperto = 44 Euros.

The first time we went there, I ate a Norma Pasta. 🍝 It was really good, also the pasta was not cooked until it was soft, it remained somehow al dante. It was a big portion, so I shared my pasta with my boyfriend. The suff was very friendly and I've got Free-Wifi.

The second time we went there, my boyfriend ate Lasagna. It was good, but it was reheated. The inside of the Lasagna remained cold. I ate a Pistachiosa,it was really good, but again.. the pasta was al dante, not soft. I've got a big portion (probably on the picture this is not visible).

Intresting: here and also everywhere I went and ordered a lemonade, I've got a lemon soda. Pls make your own lemonade, with fresh mint/lime/lemon/orange and add simple water.

Good point: on the second time we went there, we got extra Parmesan 🧀 "for free". Also a great thing: the stuff knows...

The pasta and gnocchi were incredible and fully deserving of 5 stars.

I fully recommend people try the Carbonara Gnocchi. It was just amazing!!!

My only criticism would be the Nutella crepe I had for dessert was quite overpriced for what you got. €7 for a Nutella crepe which didn't even have anything with it (ice-cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, anything really) is pretty steep. It was nice but not €7 nice. I therefore cannot recommend people have this. I can't speak for the other desserts but they seemed more reasonably priced. It pains me to do it because the pasta was so good but it means I only give 4 stars for food.
