Nice staff, does not seem to speak English but since you can choose food directly by plates it is accessible for non-Italians as well. We never got menu, so we never know what costs what, and this was a little unsettling. I guess we could just ask ;-). We asked for a typical Sicilian lunch (we think, Italian isn't so strong) and got an excellent salad, two artichokes, a horse meat sandwich, a plate of grilled vegetables and other weird stuff they had on the grill, a beer, and a quarter liter of house wine. The waitress also brought some sort of onion-stuffed intestine/ offal dish which we didn't order but she insisted we try. It was also great, and I'm glad we tried it. All in, 25€.

Read moreWe had a pretty bad experience here. The food portions were ridiculously small and poor value. The seafood was maybe the worst I have ever had in Catania - we didn't even eat it. The lamb had almost no meat on the bone. Also, there was a singer who used a microphone and was so loud that we couldn't talk. It was even difficult to talk with the staff when we were ordering.
