Ristorante Garda — Restaurant in Desenzano del Garda

First the history. My family and i have been eating here three to four times a week each summer on our 2 week holiday to lake garda since 2019, even through covid. Today is the last time and we are so sad . The service was terrible. The food has also deteriorated. We had not even finished our pasta before our Secondi was served. Our sides were brought out and left to go cold. My branzino was filleted against my wishes was barely warm and was a mush of a fish - clearly frozen. I protested and was basically told off by the waiter for questioning what was happening. Never seen him before - only one of the original staff was there. We were then ignored. Not asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. When the waitress cleared our plates, the mush of branzino still on my plate as i didnt eat any, she didn’t ask if everything was ok, so i said “i didnt eat it because it was cold” to which she replied “oh” shruggedher shoulders and took it away. Needless to say there was no deduction for the awful fish - we paid and left. I know they wont care but we did and its a shame we were treated this way after spending so much money there...

Ordered roasted tuna steak, came in completely raw and not a steak, just odd slices. Drenched in oil and so salty impossible to eat. How can you butcher a beautiful tuna dish? Asked to be cooked properly, they just shoved it in a microwave and still parts were undercooked. Stale (probably reused) bread on the table. Roasted vegetables were completely dry, withered and without any seasoning - like Italians don't know what garlic and herbs are 🥴. Staff polite but the food is disgusting and inedible. I've seen someone else's food and it didn't look good either. I think the hotel is drumming up the business for them because I can't see it for the quality of food. I would give this restaurant 0 stars if I had the ability to. Please please do not waste your time or money on this establishment. My family came here, pizzas came immediately, 2 other dishes (a fish and a pasta) didn’t come for 30 + minutes, whilst other tables that had come in after us where being waited on and served! When querying politely on where our food was, the staff were so careless + unapologetic on how long we had been waiting for our dishes.
