there were 3 of us. the lady asked us if we were german. we said no. a table of 4 people becomes available (the ladies were only 2 on a table of 4). The waitress insisted on putting us on a table of 2 when there were 3 of us. She rudely sent us elsewhere with a 'tchuss'. Seems like when a concept works it gives the owner the right to be rude.
(update following the restaurant's response)Again, a more than unpleasant answer speaking of holiday stress alone. Instead of politely explaining, looks like the staff prefers to let off steam on the internet. Strangely, there was not just a table of 4 and 6 but at least 3 tables. And one of four was available inside. Why didn't you give us this one? The next, avoid asking the nationality of the customers if when you learn that they are not German you refuse...

The waitress brought disinfectant and a cloth to clean but while busy to remove dirty dishes, she didn't spray any disinfectant before asking us to sit. The owner was also helping out and I politely asked him if he could spray a bit of disinfectant on our table. He asked me what was my problem then he did it and once done, he asked me if I also wanted to take a picture(?!). Read moreNot all excellent meals are the most expensive. We fancied a change and opted for this charming eatery. We tried both the chips and the wedges - both excellent. Burgers are superb, customised to order with no issue from the staff.
We enjoyed our meal so much, we returned a couple of days later for a drink and a few nibbles (chips/ wedges/ camembert bites). We spent a few hours there enjoying the shade and the hospitality of the owners.
