Review from March 2017: This was on the same street as our hotel and near the Duomo. My husband and I popped in before going to explore. What a find! We shared the Leonardo (the #10 I think), and it was delicious! We had it on focaccia bread. It was a salami like meat (forgot the Italian word) and combined with the soft goat cheese--simply perfection.
We went back once more and tried their tripe special (Florence street food) and were less impressed. However, we don't feel it was because the shop made a bad sandwich. We think we just don't appreciate the "delicacy" that is tripe. lol
Anyway, judging by the yummy looking sandwiches others got and the fact there were many locals visiting, we feel you really can't go wrong with any sandwich on the menu.
We loved it and kept calling it "our sandwich shop"...

The wide selection of panini all have names - or they will make you one up from any of the ingredients in the shop. A wide range of wines to try by the glass or take a bottle home. The owner makes up an unusual take on Aperol spritz at aperitivo time. Well worth a visit if you are in the area - open most nights until around 10.30, and put up with our party turning up at 10pm, having just got in from Pisa airport, sitting around for half an hour eating sandwiches and drinking wine. Most places in UK (probably in Firenze too) would have been pointedly sweeping up, banging chairs about etc, but the charming lady behind the counter didn't...

I ate Pocaccia using flat bread because sandwich bread was sold out. It was an excellent choice. Pocaccia's bread was so chewy that I couldn't leave it even though I was full. The pocaccia with truffle cream and baked ham I ordered was so flavored with truffle cream. It was a good panini enough for a meal. Watching the boss make panini, I could see that he was sparing no toppings. I bet you won't find such a generous and cheap panini near Duomo Cathedral.
I want to eat it again before I...
