We had dinner with our family in the “OSTERIA DEL BORGO”. The food was absolutely delicious!! We started with a “tagliere toscano” followed by “pici cacio pepe e pancetta croccante” and “gnudi al tartufo”. As a main dish the others had a very tasteful and tender “tagliata” and I took a lovely fresh crispy mixed salad. We finished our meal outside on the terrace with an awesome cheesecake and along this wonderful dinner we drank a very nice Chianti. Beside the appetizing food they serve, OSTERIA DEL BORGO is a beautiful place to have dinner. The interior design is cosy and unique. Nice music and the staff is kind and friendly. Considering all this the price is more than reasonable. We definitely will go back the next time we’ll visit Florence!
We hebben met ons gezin in de "OSTERIA DEL BORGO" gegeten. Het eten was absoluut heerlijk!! We begonnen met een "tagliere toscano" gevolgd door "pici cacio pepe e pancetta croccante" en "Gnudi al tartufo". Als hoofdgerecht hadden de anderen een zeer smaakvolle en malse "tagliata" en ik had een heerlijke verse knapperige gemengde salade. We eindigden onze maaltijd buiten op het terras met een geweldige cheesecake en tijdens dit heerlijke diner dronken we een hele lekkere Chianti. Naast het smakelijke eten dat ze serveren, is OSTERIA DEL BORGO een prachtige plek om te dineren. Het interieur is gezellig en uniek. Leuke muziek en het personeel is aardig en vriendelijk. If I could give it a negative-star review I would. Walked in with the intention of purchasing a few bottles of nice Brunello di Montalcino wines, when the female employee completely ignored me. She was so busy entertaining two boys in their 20s that had no intentions of buying wine at the moment.
When I asked if the shop did tastings she just nodded. Didn't go into detail about wines for tasting until I asked her. By then, I was not in the mood for both a tasting or spending money on bottles of wine.
Granted this is in the city center, rude service and hospitality is expected. Head over to Conad supermarket for your wines. At least you won't receive sh*t service for...

OSTERIA DEL BORGO. Steak was not fresh, chewy and also overpriced. You will receive alrady cut t-bone steak, BUT the bone is larger and from much larger steak probably served before and the meat is from the smaller steak. How many customers seen that bone before us? And is it healthy to serve the used bone? Unfortunately I did not realize that at first place. This is realy disgusting and filthy trick.
