Enoteca Bevovino — Restaurant in Florence

Ordered drinks to start with after walking from the lookout (which you should definitely do), wait staff/owner said "only drinks?" and snatched the cuttlery off the table before we could explain we would start with drinks while we looked at the menu. She took the menus and said something to the bar staff whilst gesturing over her head at us. Then went out the back and sat looking at her phone. There were no other orders as we were the only ones there. We waited for a few minutes before realising that no one was doing anything. As I stood to check on what was happening she waved her hand at the bar staff who started making my coffee. They brought out our order but missed one item. We drank as fast as we could then they tried to charge us for the full order. They argued that I was lying/an idiot until I pointed to the table to show that the glasses did not match the order.

She grunted and then printed a new bill.

Dont go here. The place directly across the road was way better and super friendly. We only came here because the other place was full.

It was my first time in Florence and I regret coming here. The place is nice, but the end result is very disappointing. Drinks like Aperol spritz tasted of ice (for €6, where in Italy I sometimes drank for €4 and had an unforgettable taste!) No straws, served primitively with toothpicks (?!) The place clearly aims to make money from tourists who order once and they will never come back here again. There were no snacks served like in every Italian bar. At the end, when asked about it, the waiter said that he "forgot" where his friend, who didn't order anything, was eating a delicious-looking aperitivo two tables away. I ordered margherita pizza, and look at what I got..Looks like a pie with full of cheese ( let’s call it a cheese pie 😂😂), doesn’t smell basil at all. I asked them where the basil is and they told me it’s inside! The staff is rude (she « educated » me that margherita is made with tomato sauce and mozzarella only...

Alright..I tried and there’s absolutely no basil, just smell cheese and tomato sauce.

It’s one of the worst margherita pizzas I ever had. Couldn’t believe I ate this in Italy haha

Avoid this restaurant...
