Florentia — Restaurant in Florence

I went to this restaurant for dinner and I loved it From the outside it doesn't look like anything special or fancy, the entrance is discreet and simple but inside is beautiful and cozy and has a romantic vibe

The dining area is small but the tables are well distributed and they were already set with cutlery and glasses The server approached us quickly to leave the menu. He was very polite and spoke good English We got a basket with fresh bread. The table had olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper already placed

We were two people and ordered a cocktail and white wine (a sweet one that the server helped me to choose) also tagliatelle with cream and risotto The food was very tasty, creamy and rich. The risotto and the pasta were cooked to perfection in my opinion I liked the simplicity and richness of the food, made with seemingly few ingredients but full of flavors

We didn't need reservation and by the time we were almost finishing our meal, the restaurant was almost full It was a pleasant dining experience and I would come back...

I LOVED the pici from this place. The freshly made udon-like pasta is cooked perfectly aldente, giving an extremely satisfying chew with each bite. You can choose between cacio e pepe (most common way of eating pici, but a Roman sauce), or with Tuscan Ragu.

And at €9-10 (excluding coperto), it was the best price for pici I saw in all of Florence.

The place is not big, but I am a few other guests were able to walk in at 6pmish without reservations. If you plan to dine in later, I would definitely recommend having reservations.

The staff and owner were very friendly and attentive. If I am ever back in Florence, I would want to return to...

It’s my first time in Florence, btw just to mention the mistake I did in Rome it’s finding places to eat through Instagram / YouTube bloggers - don’t do it 🙏🏻 always try to find those kind of simple family places like Florentia. It was our case - we were walking and just found it decided to eat and never left it for the end of vacay !!!! Every single meal is so homey so good done 🙏🏻🙏🏻 service of Antonio (I hope spelling is correct) is so welcoming - like they take care of the guests in their own house (which is basically is).
