Golocious Burger&Wine Firenze — Restaurant in Florence

Really wanted to love this restaurant, but..mah...

My husband is lactose intolerant, therefore we asked TWICE to not put cheese in his burger, at the end they served him burger with cheese, we asked them to remake it as it was impossible for him to eat it. After 5 minutes they brought us SAME burger which they obviously didn't remake, but just removed the cheese as there were some pieces of it. Once served i saw waiters were speaking about us literally behind my husbands` back. Waiter saw that i saw them talking and came back to ask if everything was okay, we said NO as burger still had pieces of cheese, after other 10 mins we were served the burger which was inedible. However, after so many mistakes made by the restaurant we weren't offered any discount/dessert at the end.

I must say burger and sweet potato fries i took were quite good, for this i give 2 stars and I would ve even came back if such unfortunate situation was handled differently.

GOLOCIOUS IS GOATED

22 of us came from the U.S. for a month long study along program.

My roommates, classmates, and myself genuinely went to this restaurant more times than we can count.

After even the first visit, the manager and his employees treated us like family. Remembering each of our orders and tweaks to the finest detail.

The food is absolutely fantastic with fresh ingredients, incredibly quality and hefty servings of beef. Genuinely better than 90% of the peak of American burger joints. I’m talking 5 guys: cheaper, fresher. As a local Californian, In and out has nothing on these guys.

This place is the real deal.

On our last night in florence after a month or biweekly visitation. We were out for some drinks -10 minutes to closing- and decided to skip our plans at a kebab place.

The manager not only opened the kitchen up again to serve us, but we shared shots of tequila with him and his right hand man.

I cannot rave more about the service here. And the food was amazing!!! not many wait staff across Europe have come over to ask how the food was/how we were doing/asked if we needed anything else during the meal. You scan QR code for wifi and the menu, then use a button call system to order.

We ordered nachos, the pull pork fries (you HAVE to get these) and the chicken nuggets for starter. Cheese fondu makes the world go round honestly 8/10 for starters!

Burgers we got the golocheese (well done) and honestly it was medium which was perfectly cooked! Would recommend adding a sauce. 7/10 because we didn’t add sauce. Also got golochicken - this was saucey goodness!! 8/10

We also ordered the pulled pork rolls - I was expecting sliders but they were actually deep fried spring rolls and holy they were good! Recommend changing the BBQ sauce for fondue (or why not both) 8/10 sorry no photo
